I was fast asleep under the sleeping bag I had slept in the night before. I laid on the floor of Elena's bedroom again, having a sleepover with just me and her. We bonded over the past couple days and I now consider her to be a close friend of mine.

A door slammed causing my eyes to shoot open. I sat up and looked up at Elena, who was sitting up in her bed. We made eye contact, having a silent conversation on whether we should investigate or not. Elena pulled off the bed covers and walked to her bedroom door and slowly opened it. I followed suit, not wanting anything bad to happen to her. We quietly crept down the hallway, being careful not to give away our position. My breath caught in my throat as we rounded a corner. Suddenly Elena gasped and froze in place causing me to bump into her back. I slowly looked up and saw a half-naked Alaric standing in the hallway holding a bowl.

"Elena, Kennedy. Ahem." Alaric stood up straight, trying to look as normal as possible.

"We heard something," Elena answered. Alaric awkwardly chuckled and I did the same.

"That was us," Jenna crept from behind Alaric and ran a hand through her hair. "I'm sorry."

"Chunky Monkey?" Alaric held his bowl up towards us. An awkward silence fell on us four. "I'm naked. I'm gonna go." Alaric turned to leave, but I grabbed his arm stopping him in front of Jenna's room door.

"Not so fast. I won't speak about this ever again if..." I looked him up and down. "If you give me an A on my makeup work." I let go of his arm.

"Deal," He breathed quickly. "Don't worry about turning it in." I smiled slightly and took a step back.

"Pleasure doing business with you." I let go of his arm and he quickly made his way down the hall leaving Jenna.

"I'm really sorry," Jenna started.

"It's okay, Jenna, don't worry about it."

"I know he's been staying over a lot are you sure it's okay?"

"Seems like things are good," Elena smiled.

"From the looks of it, they're extremely good." I chuckled and winked at Jenna. Jenna nodded in agreement.

"Then I'm extremely okay with it." Elena turned around and made her way back to her room.

"Good night Jenna." I waved and followed Elena to her room. I laid under my sleeping bag again and closed my eyes as Elena laid in her bed. I heard a slight shuffling outside the room, but I assumed it was Jenna so I went back to sleep.

Elena and I sit on her bed as I watch her write one final thing in her diary. She closes it and slips it into her nightstand drawer.

"How do you get motivated to do that every day? I tried writing in my diary once but I forgot about within a week." I questioned.

"I don't know. It started out as a coping mechanism for when my parents died, but now so much stuff is happening it's kind of hard to not remember to write anything down. You should try it." Elena suggested. I laugh knowing that it wouldn't be worth it.

"My life isn't nearly as exciting as yours. The only thing interesting this week is the fact that the reason why I had to leave North Carolina is here in Mystic Falls."

"Oh yeah, Caroline told me," Elena frowned. "I'm so sorry about everything, she's a horrible person."

"Oh trust me, I know."

The doorbell rang, cutting our conversation short. I walk downstairs with Elena and she opens the door. Behind it stood Elena's boyfriend and his disapproving brother. He looked at me with the same annoying smirk I saw at the slumber party.
