Something felt different. Today felt different. Since I came back to life, every day was cold and lonely. My walls were built high so that no one could get in; not even Bonnie. Bitterness and anger followed me everywhere I went, to the point where I couldn't even imagine life without them. They were my eternal companions as I was theirs.

Bonnie and I sat in the witch house enjoying each other's company. We weren't up to anything in particular, but we found comfort in each other.

"The ancestors love you." Bonnie chuckled. "They're probably more happy with you than they are with me."

"How do you know? Do they talk to you?"

"Not usually though, but I can feel them. All witches are connected somehow, even to those who have passed away."

"Sounds nice. I always wanted to know how it felt to be a witch. To be all friendly with nature and stuff."

"Believe it or not, you are connected to nature. Werewolves and witches were created by nature itself, which is why you transition on the full moon. That's probably why the ancestors like you so much."

"I'm flattered." I sarcastically held my right hand over my heart and looked up at the supposed ancestors. "I like you guys too."

Bonnie rolled her eyes with the same sarcasm that I exuded. "So school's this week." Bonnie started.

I sighed, "I know. It's pretty much all I can think about."

"I'm going back to Mystic Falls for school. I'm going to stay in my Grams house again. You're welcome to stay with me if..."

"And this is your way of trying to convince me to go back to school, right?" I crossed my hands over my chest.

"Did it work?"

"I mean, I don't really have anywhere else to go."

Bonnie jumped up before I could even finish my sentence. "Let's start packing now." Her green eyes were wide with excitement. She grabbed my hands and pulled me up. "Let's go."

"Bye ancestors." I waved to the air before leaving. With a sudden gust of the wind, the few candles in the room were blown out.

We packed everything up relatively quickly. All of our bags were in the back of the car before the sun went down.

"Anything else you need to grab?" Bonnie held up her arm, getting ready to close the trunk of the car.

"Technically no, but I have one thing to do. Stay here."

The Michigan's house was pretty close, so I didn't mind walking there one last time. They deserved a goodbye, I owed them that. They were always home, so I figured that wouldn't change.

Of course, right as I approached the house, the twins were sitting on their porch, mumbling about something.

"Hey, guys!" I greeted them.

Both of their heads snapped in my direction, Miles with a beet red visage. Their mumbles were cut short, causing curiosity to spark within me.

"Hey, Kennedy." Ava smiled her usual bright smile. Miles just smiled and waved.

"You guys alright?" I asked, aiming the question more towards Miles.
