Rebekah had forcefully taken away Tyler's limp body. Kennedy fought for Tyler's body, but her werewolf strength was nothing compared to the original vampire's. Klaus, Elena, and Kennedy now remained in the gym, along with two random classmates. Matt and Bonnie were in a nearby hallway trying to figure out a way to save Tyler's life. The gym was mostly silent except for Kennedy's heavy breathing.

"Wow," Klaus breathed. "It's a bit quiet for a couple of friends reuniting." Klaus paced back and forth between the girls. Neither of them responded, Elena just stared at Kennedy while Kennedy stared at the floor. "Oh, I see..." Klaus walked over to the werewolf. "You're not too keen with the doppelgänger are you?

Before Kennedy could answer his question, Stefan wandered into the gym, a look a distraught on his face. A fire was set beneath her as all her anger bubbled to the surface. Her human hands gripped at the wooden floor as if her werewolf claws were taking form. His eyes were trained on Klaus, so he didn't realize the werewolf on the ground.

"Stefan..." Elena tried to direct his attention to her.

Stefan ignored the human. "Klaus." He stopped a few feet away from the hybrid.

"Come to save your damsel, mate?" Klaus replied sarcastically.

"I came to ask for your forgiveness." Stefan frowned. "And pledge my loyalty."

Klaus shifted his weight on his foot. He had sort of a diva way about it. "Well, you broke that pledge once already."

"Elena means nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me... I will do." It was quite obvious that Stefan was putting up a front. Whatever love he had for Elena would never go away.

"Fair enough." Klaus's dimpled face revealed a sinister smile. If you had no context on the situation it would almost be adorable. "Let's drink on it. Kill them. What are you waiting for? Kill them."

"No! Stefan, don't. He's not going to hurt me. He already said-" Elena's plea was cut off by Klaus hitting her. The forces caused her to fly, hitting the hard floor. Kennedy tried hard not to laugh at the sudden change in character. It was nice seeing Elena not get what she wants for once. Stefan vamped out, rushing at Klaus with vampire speed.

"She means nothing to you? Your lies just keep piling up." Klaus shook his head.

"Let her go! I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!"

"Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this." Klaus held Stefan's chin and stared directly into his eyes. "Stop fighting." Klaus compelled him.

Stefan's body obeyed. "Don't do this, don't do this." He pleaded with Klaus.

"I still can't decide what to do with you, Stefan. I want to trust you, I really do, but I don't think you trust me. Maybe your old friend can help me out?" Klaus turned his focus to Kennedy, who was now sitting up taking everything in. She sat with her arms in her lap, as if she was a toddler enticed by a cartoon. Stefan followed Klaus's line of vision and stopped on the subject.

"Kennedy, you're alive," Stefan said with relief.

"In the flesh." Kennedy shrugged. Her face was stone cold.

"Kennedy love, what do you suppose I do with your friend Stefan?"

Kennedy placed a finger to her chin, pretending to think. She could smell the fear in the air and she was thriving off of it. "I don't know..."

"Kennedy please," Elena cried. "Help him."

"I could honestly care less. Anything to stop all this drama. Carry on."
