WARNING: This is kind of rushed so I'm sorry if there's a bunch of grammar mistakes.

It had been just a few hours since the senior prank night ordeal. Stefan was back in town permanently, but without any humanity. That night, Klaus compelled him to turn off his humanity and become the "ripper" that he once was. Klaus and Rebekah left but was no doubt still close by. Tyler's hybrid transformation was complete, now leaving him with a craving of blood that he never had before.

Kennedy would have to put her plan for revenge on the back burner for now; she wanted Stefan to feel all of the pain and guilt she intended for him. That couldn't happen if he couldn't feel any emotions.

Now that mostly everyone knew that she was alive and well, there was no reason for her not to go back to school. She wasn't sure how the routine would feel, but she was just glad to be involved in life again, instead of viewing it from behind glass.

Kennedy's stomach sank at the thought of her going back to her parent's home. There were too many memories there and she wasn't ready for the pain that would come with them. Instead, she stayed with Bonnie at her Grams' house, closer to inner Mystic Falls. Bonnie, being the loyal friend that she is, didn't mind keeping Kennedy close.

Kennedy felt more guilt each day that she stayed with her witch friend. In her eyes, she was a burden, and now that everyone knew she was alive, she would continue to be a burden to the rest of her friends.

Bonnie and Kennedy took the short drive to school together. They immediately met up with Caroline, who had an expressionless smile on her face.

"Here we are. Senior year." Caroline deadpanned.

Bonnie sighed. "Anyone else think it should feel slightly more empowering?" She lifted a questioning eyebrow.

Kennedy crossed her arms against her chest and sighed in defeat. "Hardly. Last night was a disaster."

"Okay. So prank night was a bust." Caroline let her arms fall to her sides. "But we are accepting it, and we are moving on." Elena approached the trio and walked alongside them. Kennedy didn't acknowledge her arrival, she just rolled her eyes.

"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriends hinder this experience?" Bonnie said almost sarcastically. Bonnie told the girls how the night before, she and Jeremy got into an argument regarding the fact that he had been seeing Vicki and Anna.

"Yes!" Caroline pumped an exaggerated fist. "And why should I let the fact that my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid put a damper on an otherwise fabulous day." She smiled sadly.

"Today's our anniversary. Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year." Elena but in.

"Yeah. You win." Kennedy sarcastically rolled her eyes before walking ahead of the group. She did slightly feel bad that she had lost her first love, but at least he wasn't dead. That would suck.

Kennedy continued walking towards the school entrance. Each step she took was a step closer to a pit of fire. Her body always got hot when she angry and she couldn't control it, no matter how hard she tried to control it. Voices called out to her as she continued walking toward the building.

"Kennedy!" A voice called out to her. Kennedy presses two fingers against her temples and paused in the middle of the walkway. The voice meant something to her, so she turned her head to the origin of the person who spoke. There stood a short, black-haired girl and a tall, brunette boy.

"Oh my God." Kennedy's eyes widened. She ran towards the pair and hugged the girl. "Ava and Miles Michigan." She pulled from the hug and stood in front of the two.
