Chapter 7..... Worried Mamma

It felt like forever until it was 2:30. Time went by so slowly and I waited for the day to be over so I could go get Aurora from school. Once 2:45 came I left my office and ran into Dave on my way out

"Oh I left those papers on your desk. I'm off to get Aurora."

"Okay thanks, I'll be home for dinner." He said

He kissed my cheek and I smiled. I continued walking out to the front doors, I walked to my car and I couldn't wait to see Aurora. I drove to the school and I waited till 3:00. I kept checking my watch ever so often, 2:50, 2:52, 2:55

I sighed and then the bell rang, many parents were there and many kids came running out of the building. I looked around for Aurora at first I didn't see her. I started to worry, I know I shouldn't worry but I just do, but soon I seen her running out with 2 boys and 2 girls. She was laughing and looked happy with the kids she was with. The four kids found their parents and Aurora looked for me, I waved at her and she seen me, she smiled as she came running over to me. I bent down to her height and I embraced her in a hug

I could tell she was really jumpy but she hugged me tight. It felt good to be hugged tight by her, it was something I missed when my mother was gone. I let go of her and I stood up, she smiled at me and I took her hand and lead her to the car

"Mamma it was so much fun! I made new friends and I have something's to show you." She said as we walked to the car

She jumped up and down and I laughed. We got to the car and I helped her in, I buckled her in and she had a huge smiled on her face

"Show me your stuff when we get home, me and daddy are going to love to see what you did."

I kissed her on the forehead. I got into the car and I drove home, Aurora was so talkative on the way home

"My teacher is so nice and the kids in my class are nice too. I made.."

She went silent and I checked the mirror really quickly to realized she was counting on her fingers. She started with her thumb, then her index, then her middle finger, then her ring finger, and last her pinkie. She thought for a moment then said

"I made 5 friends today."

"That's amazing." I said as I smiled

"Everyone is so nice mamma."

I smiled, she was perfect. My little angel, my Aurora. Growing like a flower, sprouting her buds. She defintly took after me and her father. Once we got home I seen 2 cars parked in the driveway, they were familiar to me. I looked over to Aurora and she looked at the cars, in her mind I knew she was questioning why they were there and who they belonged to. We pulled in and I got out, I went over and got her out of her car seat, I let her walk to the door and she opened the house door

"Papa, auntie, daddy!" Aurora yelled

My dad, Mel, and Dave were standing there smiling. Aurora ran up to my dad, then went over to Mel, and lastly went over to Dave. He hugged her tight and kissed her forehead, she was so very happy to see everyone, considering she doesn't see Mel and my dad that much. But since she was born they have a reason to come down often. I took Aurora's bag off as she kept talking and talking to Mel, my dad, and Dave about her day at school. They all went to the living room and I placed Aurora's bag in the closet and I took her lunch bag out, I placed her lunch bag in the kitchen and I just listened to the laughter coming from the living room

"I made 5 friends today." I heard Aurora say

Everyone praised her, she laughed a little. I walked upstairs so I could get changed, I tossed my shoes in my closet and grabbed some casual clothes and I went to tossed my shoes in my closet it hit the box I came across earlier. I pulled it out and sat down on the bed, I sighed and I opened it. I looked through the articles, I find myself looking at them all the time, trying figure out what went wrong and how I could've stopped it. But every time I came to a dead stop
