Chapter 27..... The Painful Truth Behind Life
*Chris's Point Of View*
She was nowhere in sight. Without thinking I ran out of the house and down the street to her parents house. I went to the door and started banging on it until I went to do it again but it opened. I stood there face to face with Mr. Crumby, I was out of breath and it was a bit late at night
"Chris what are you doing here?" He asked
"Aurora she is missing."
"What do you mean she is missing?"
I took a deep breath in and went to explain what happened
"I left the house because I was told there was work I had to do. When I came back Aurora was gone, the door was open, and her car is still there."
"She is missing." I said
"How long?"
"Not that long, I was talking to her not too long ago." I said
"Mia." Mr. Crumby yelled
Mrs. Crumby came running down the stairs to the front door. She looked at me
"What's wrong?" She asked
"Aurora is missing." He said
"What do you mean she is missing?"
"She is gone, she has been taken."
"By who?" She asked
I could tell she was worried and nervous about who had taken Aurora. Why would someone take her? I knew about her ex but I never thought he could do something like this. Did he do this?
"I'm not sure." I said
"I know who. Mia call Jet now." He said
I could tell he was mad and so was I. Nervousness turned to rage as I wondered who had taken my girlfriend. They invited me in as Mr. Crumby called someone, and put whoever it was on speaker
"Hello?"
"Hey Jet it's Dave and Mia."
"Why are yous calling me, I am retired now." He said
"I thought I would never have to say things again but we need your help." Mr. Crumby said
"Why what's wrong?"
"Aurora is missing and we have a feeling we know who took her."
"But she never had contact with Scott."
"No she found out what happened and went searching for him, to see if he was her father." Mia said
"Get here as fast as you can, I will send police out to investigate." He said
"Call me when you get here." He added
"Okay will do Jet." Mr. Crumby said
He hung up then he looked at Mia and me, then he sighed
"Let's go we have to find her."
"Dave you know if he has her she is in very big danger. Whatever he did to me he will do to her, but this time, knowing the time he has if he has her, he will succeed." She said
I knew what happened to their family. But never to the extent of what she was describing. Now I was really scared at what was going to happen
"What is going on?" I asked
"There is no time to explain right now. We have to go."
We all went into the car. Dave started to drive, it was late in the night but the search for Aurora was on and I would stop at nothing until we find her, I don't want to lose another loved one. I guess it's time to confess what happened to the girl who I seen at the cemetery. She was the girlfriend who cheated on me, how did she die? Let me explain. It was a few days after the party and she would call me and text me saying she was sorry but I didn't care, I was so upset that I just couldn't talk to her but after those few nights I received a text while I was sleeping and it was sent not too long before I woke up
