Chapter 3....... Goodbye Little Town
•1 Month later•
I held Aurora in my arms as she started to cry. I bounced her up and down and kissed her head, soon she stopped. Aurora is just a month old now and I was the only one able to hold her at this point in time. I looked at the time it was about 7 am
"Dave!" I yelled
It echoed through the house, because now it's empty. All the boxes lined up at the door ready to be moved into the truck. Today was the moving day, we finally found a house about 5 hours away in a bigger city, near the location of Dave's work. Or should I say the new place that they are finished building. The company has grown bigger and we were lucky to find this place close to our new location. That made it a lot easier to choose our new location
"Yeah." He said as he reached the top of the stairs
"The moving truck will be here soon and so will Mel, do you have everything packed?"
"Yes I do I'll be right down." He said
He came down with a few boxes then he walked right back upstairs to grab more boxes. I placed Aurora in her car seat carrier and she was asleep. She had gotten bigger but she was a cute baby. She has blonde hair and blue eyes just like us. After that one green eye incident it never happened again. Yay! I was brought out of my thoughts when Dave came down the stairs. I watched Dave bring down 2 boxes and those were the last ones. He placed them not too far from the door with the rest of the boxes
"There it's all done." He said
He came over and stood behind me, he grabbed my waist and pulled me into him, while resting his chin on my shoulder. I turned my face to see his
"Are you ready?" He asked
"Yes." I said
He kissed my forehead. Then he let go of me and turned me around to face him. I didn't look up at him but he placed his hand under my chin. Our eyes met and I seen his husky blue eyes, they sparkled, his eyes were just breath taking
"You're a horrible liar." He whispered
"I know." I whispered
"You know I hate it when you do this."
"I'm sorry." I said
"I know you're still worried, I know. You talk in your sleep. I hear you get up in the night even when Aurora isn't crying."
"You're right." I said
He kissed me so gently an he hugged me. I started to cry, why am I crying? I need to stop worrying, I need to stop living in the past, I need to let go. That is what I have to do, is let go. I stopped crying, it's not like I balled my eyes out but a few tears fell and it's possible a sob came out too
"Let go." He whisper
"I will." I said
He let go and he wiped my tears away. Aurora started to cry and I looked at my watch, hey look a watch! Anyways I looked at the time and it was her feeding time. I took her out of her carrier and I carried her into the kitchen. Aurora is breast fed so I needed some privacy just in case someone showed up. Trust me it would be awkward, it's happened before. I fed her then I heard someone come in. Then I heard a voice. Once I was finished feeding Aurora I went back to notice that Mel showed up
"Awe well isn't it my baby niece and my sister." Mel said
I laughed and I gave her Aurora to hold. This would be her last time seeing Aurora for a while, or until we move into the new place and get settled. I knew the settings would be different for me and Dave, but mostly me. Dave has been to big cities where I have always been around the same towns and they all are very little. The city would be a change for me. Just as Mel was rocking Aurora someone knocked on the door. I walked over to open the door and I got a few surprises, as soon as I opened the door I seen my boss, my coworkers, and Jet standing there
