Chapter 28: Your Fate Should've Happened Over 19 Years ago

Chapter 28... Your Fate Shoula've Happened Over 19 Years Ago

*Chris's Point Of View*

He turned the screen to face us and all of our eyes widened in shock. What I felt inside was just pure anger and hate. I knew the story why did I not put two and two together? I felt sick to my stomach I couldn't believe my eyes and I trusted this person just a little to keep Aurora out of danger yet they are the one who lead her right into it

"It can't be." I said

I contained my anger for if I didn't I would have smashed the screen in my fit of anger. I just couldn't believe it. John's face was on the screen, he is the son of Scott. The guy who took Mia and possibly Aurora. We all trusted him, I looked over to Mia and Dave. They looked just as mad as I did

"He's his son?" Mia asked

"Yes." Jet said

"I should've known." Mia scolded herself

"Now that we know or think who is behind this how do we find them?" I asked

"We will just have to look around. Dig up some ideas because we don't have much time left." Jet said

He called someone in and told them to go to the mental place where Scott was. The guy nodded and left, we had to look and talk to everyone who was involved in the last case and anyone who has had contact with Scott and Aurora

"I know there was Brandi, my sister, Dave and myself. Brandi must have had contact with Scott, my sister has moved out of town and hasn't seen Scott since my trial. I have seen Scott and so has Dave, but we would have nothing to do with this."

"What about now?" Jet asked

"I have never met this guy, Aurora is the one who has been taken, and John must have to find out Scott is his father." I said

He called Brandi and told her what was going on. She said he hasn't seen him for a while but there was one last trial date for her and Scott and that was it. She said she seen John but never with Scott, but John went to go see Scott. We tried calling John but there was no answer. The guy came back and he said Scott was missing from the mental home, they were on the look in this tiny town

"We are a lot better at finding people than they were 19 years ago." Jet said

"Bring in someone from the news station we need to broadcast this now." Jet said to the guy

"Now we have to do this according to plan because this could save Aurora, but if something goes wrong will not be successful." He said

We all nodded knowing the risks of what could happen to her if things go badly. Once the reporter was there we all got together to talk. We came up with a plan, Jet was going to say that Aurora is missing and show the picture of John. Her mom and dad would be standing off camera and once Jet steps off to call John to get him to move away from her plus get a trace of where he is I will go on and tell her that we are looking for her and that we will find her. I was so ready to do this

"Okay everyone know what we are doing?"

We nodded

"Okay lets get this started." He said

We all got set up, we had to keep the place as quiet as we could so nothing would be out of place. Then the camera was on and I watched Jet. I stood beside Mia and Dave. Dave was hugging Mia very tight, you could tell they were very upset. I was too, then Jet went on, he was so concentrated and controlled. He seems too old to be a cop but he's retired
