Chapter 8 ..... Aurora Is Growing up

The years went by and Aurora grew up really fast. She went from kindergarten to grade one the year after. One day I was pulled aside and Aurora's teacher told me that Aurora was a very smart girl and that she could jump grades, but I didn't want her to. She is a very smart girl but I'd rather her go through life and know everything than just jump. Plus that way so could stay with her friends as well

Grades 2-5 went by fast too. When she final finished grade 5 she had a mini graduation and Dave and I were there. She was so happy and excited to be moving on. That September she started grade 6. Grades 7-8 went by and yet another graduation. But this time there was a grade 8 grad trip, the hardest thing was letting her go. Also it was around the area of where we used to live, where I was kidnapped. I never wanted her to go but I had to let her, I'm already too protective so I let her go. Dave told me to trust her and that's what I did, the following September she went into grade 9

My baby girl was growing up fast but she was turning into an amazing young lady

*Aurora's Point Of View*

It was September and I was starting grade 9. I was excited and nervous, I knew people that were going there. Some of them were my closest friends that I've known since kindergarten. My friends Nick, Lily, Layla, and Cameron. Nick and I were extremely close, we were best friends since I could remember. My parents love him, he's sweet and nice

When I awoke that morning I was so nervous like you wouldn't believe. I'm going to high school today! I was so excited too. I got dressed in my best casual clothes. Then I walked into my bathroom to brush my hair and brush my teeth. I sighed as I took one last look in the mirror. I was ready. I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to see my mom and my dad. My mom looked absolutely stunning in her pencil skirt and ruffled blouse

My mom is beautiful and I got most of my looks from her. My family was a rich one, thanks to my dad and my mom working hard. We live in a big house but I never let our family riches get to me, the same with my parents. We all wanted to be treated like a middle class family, we never took advantage of the money, well we did but it never went to our heads

"Good morning mamma." I said

"Good morning Aurora." She said

She came over and hugged me. I smiled and hugged her back. She looked young for her age and so did my dad. My dad came over and hugged me too. My dad kissed my forehead

"Good luck today Aurora." Said my dad

"Thanks daddy." I said

"Dave we have to go." My mom said

They gathered their stuff and they each gave me one last hug before heading out the door. I smiled as they left, I looked at the time and I realized that my bus should be here soon so I should leave. I grabbed my breakfast and headed out the door. I shut and locked the door but not forgetting to set the security code. My mom always hassled me on that. I walked down the driveway to the end of the gates and I walked out, making sure the gates shut and locked before looking forward and waiting for the bus

I stood there looking at my watch, 7:11 am, it should be here soon. I looked up to see a yellow bus coming down the street but first it stopped at a few houses on the street. They were my friends, I was the last one on the street because I was at the last house on the street. The bus came around, put its lights on and the doors opened. I got on saying hello to the driver then I turned to face the crowed of people, that's when I froze. I looked around. Then I seen a waving hand. That's when I smiled and started walking to the back of the bus. Boys and girls of all grades were looking at me but I didn't seem fazed by it. I walked to the seat and sat down beside a friend
