Ice cream

I discovered Adam's car and almost ran towards it. I couldn't wait to get away from this horrible place.

I got surprised by Reece, George and Blake who were sitting in the car with Adam. One seat at the back was left for me. I opened the door and said "Hi" to everyone and sat down next to Blake who sat in the middle of the back seats.

They said "Hi" as well and George explained that we would drive downtown and have ice cream. My mood lightened up immediately and my smile reached almost every ear. How much I loved ice cream!

But then, suddenly I couldn't think of ice cream anymore. As a consequence of the narrow space of the car Blake's leg touched mine. Maybe - or rather probably - it wasn't even on purpose but nevertheless all my nerves looked at these five centimeters where his leg touched mine. I wasn't able to concentrate on something else.

That was the reason why I didn't notice Adam's question which he already repeated the third time.

"Sorry?" I said completely overtaxed.

The boys giggled - except for Blake - and Adam said a fourth time "How was school?"

Oh. I started to blush, I guessed.

"Uhm, bad actually." I said. The question hadn't been difficult but it was difficult to think nevertheless. And difficult to build a proper sentence when Blake's leg touched mine.

"Would you mind explaining it a bit?" Adam said when I didn't add something.

That was easy.

"The teacher doesn't like me, therefore he tried to embarrass me in front of the class but failed kind of and some hyper fanatic fangirls didn't want to believe that I don't know where New Hope Club currently is and I hate humans in general." I said in one breath.

For a while nobody replied anything.

"Fans think you know something?" Blake asked after a while.

I nodded.

"Why did you talk about us?" He asked. "Don't understand me wrong-" he added quickly. "I'm just curious how fans start a conversation about us." He grinned and George moved his head as well so that he could see me.

"Uhm..." I tried to find a lie but because of the fact that I wasn't a good liar and still couldn't quite concentrate I decided to just tell the truth. At least half of it.

"They saw my drawing I've drawn and asked if I am a New Hope Club fan and yeah, they told me that you are currently in this area and want to find out where exactly you are and I said that you may have a reason why you hide your place from the public. For them that meant that I just claimed that I know something and then they kind of forced me to tell them. Then I left."

"Oh." Blake said then. Wow.

"Good that you didn't tell them. Thank you, that could have been very ... exhausting." Reece said then carefully.

"I know." I said.

"Yeah you acted correctly." Adam confirmed. "Just try to avoid them... I know it sounds mean but in fact it would be very annoying when fans are permanently in front of your door. Also they won't let go of you even when the boys are gone."

"But our fans are really polite." George pointed out.

"True but you can never be sure." Blake agreed with Adam. I was thankful they shared my opinion.

"So, here we are." Adam said and parked the car.

We jumped out of the car and joined the queue. Now, when Blake's leg was away from mine, my leg felt so cold. And I already looked forward to the trip home. His leg would probably be there again.

We ordered our ice cream and looked for a bench to sit down. We talked about everything and nothing. It was a nice talk and as always I enjoyed the company of the boys.

"Can I taste your kind of ice cream?" Blake suddenly asked me and already leaned in to taste it with his tongue. Wait, did he want to...?

I was completely perplexed and only managed to mumble "Uh, sure."

His tongue passed over my scoop and in that very moment I forgot to breathe. Fortunately nobody had noticed it, not even Adam because he had been busy looking at a group of girls a few meters away from us.

"Mmh it tastes very good!" Blake said delighted. "I should take this one next time as well!"

"Yeah it's good indeed." I said, still a little bit overtaxed. I stared at my scoop where just Blake's tongue had touched it. My heart beat faster, by the way.

"Do you want to taste mine as well? It isn't bad actually." Blake offered.

It took me way too long until I realized what he had just said. I hoped he didn't notice as well.

Normally it wouldn't be a big deal when for instance Eva asked. But it was completely different when Blake offered me to taste his ice cream. With my tongue!

"I'd love to." I finally stuttered and he held his ice in front of my mouth. I tried to stay cool and tasted it. Even if it sounds strange but it was such a special act that my tongue touched the exact same thing like where Blake's just had been.

I was so focused on this feeling and assimilated it that I forgot to say whether it tasted good or not. Ah, right, that was the purpose of this action.

"So?" Blake asked. There was it again. My face started to turn red, I could feel it.

"Yap, it's very good!" I said quite coolly. I was surprised that my voice sounded normal.

Blake smiled and continued eating his ice cream. I couldn't help but stare at him. He licked his ice cream like nothing had happened. Okay, actually nothing had happened. But nevertheless. His tongue just touched the same thing like mine a few seconds ago. Wasn't it like the principle of a kiss?

I know my thoughts were crazy.

Blake joined the conversation of George and Reece and everything was normal, like before.

Unfortunately, on our way home Blake didn't sit next to me again. This time it was George who sat in the middle and it was his leg which touched mine. It was quite interesting that I actually didn't feel the same like when it had been Blake's leg. I mean, don't get me wrong, it wasn't uncomfortable with George's leg at mine but there weren't these butterflies in my belly or the pins and needles at my skin.

We arrived at home and the boys sat down onto the couch for some games on the Xbox. So I went upstairs to have some time alone and to come down from the feelings I had experienced today.
