(Erica P.O.V)
The days surrounding a death could be a confusing and disorienting... Altered daily routines and unfamiliar sights and sounds could be difficult to understand and cope with. Death is a reality, we couldn't hide it. It was the circle of life.Talk about feelings. Share your feelings with. Tell that when someone or something dies, we might feel SAD, MAD, or CONFUSED. And sometimes we might even cry and that's okay.... Death of a loved one was always a cause for mourning. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.... Erica knew it all, she experienced it all in her life when she lost her parents in an accident. Feeling sad, feeling hopeless, crying spells for no apparent reason, problem in sleeping troubled focusing.... She knew she was strong, strong enough to take care of situation involved with death...
But still she couldn't stop feeling worthless right now, worthless because she was in a zone of disbelief and shock, worthless for being weak, worthless for being a human, weak and fragile human...
Erica knew, people who were grieving needed someone to talk to. They NEEDED to talk, so it was important for you to lend your ears. You might feel overwhelmed, uncertain or awkward, but they most likely felt the same way. You might feel that there wasn't much you could do to help, but just being their to talk with them gave them comfort....
(Stiles P.O.V)
Stiles had felt the grief of loss, when his mother died of cancer... The look of utter devastation on his father's face, the pale and lifeless skin of his mother, the stopping of the machine's beeps, the straight green line and the last gasp that explained it all, that the person you were holding hands and praying to god to save the person for you, was no more in your life and would never come back....
Finding the right words of sympathy during a time of loss could be difficult...
Stiles knew that saying something like "I am not sure of the right thing to say, but I want you to know that I care about you. You can talk to me". Ask them what you could do to help. Also, allow the grieving person to yell, cry, scream or get angry. These were normal feelings and needed to be expressed. Off your shoulder to cry on, and just be there for them during a time they really needed you. You were there to offer comfort and support, not criticism. When there was silence and nothing really to say, just offer a hug. Sitting in silence was perfectly ok....
But knowing something and doing something were different...
What if you feel guilty, and thing that you were the reason behind the grief...
What do you do when selfloathing eats you up...
When looking in to eyes becomes impossible...
The tears that flows down the eyes starts to haunt you in you sleep...
When apologies don't work...
(Hale Pack P.O.V)
Lydia sobbed softly as she threw the only dress she had that she assumed fit and would be appropriate for the funeral; with only three hours to go until the funeral... She felt it as a cruelest blow, death made her feel numb, as if a bombshell had been dropped on her... She appeared calm outwardly, but was anxious inside... She tried to be strong for the pack, she hid her tears and sorrow moans well...
“I guess this is it then.” Jackson uttered quietly, just loud enough for the pack standing before him at the doorway...
Everyone turned their heads to look across the room at Luca... Luca was sitting on a couch, with a baby in his arms wrapped in a blue cloth.. His eyes were trained on his baby as he circled her thum to caress the cheek without paying much attention to the rest...
