More on True Mates

True mates are rare. More often than not the matings that are found in werewolf packs, while still intense, are usually based solely on the choice of the human side of the individual. Their wolf side while protective, particularly when offspring are born, don’t connect with the mate on any level beyond that of a packmate, they are Potential Mate... their wolf accepts the human’s selection...

When the wolf side chooses a mate (when moon goddess has chosen a mate), an empathic bond between the two develops after the first knotting (only Alpha’s can knot though). They can connect on the physical, mental and spiritual planes. The term soul mate is all too easily bandied around, but Derek thinks in this case it’s possibly true. Derek the wolf found Luca (already selected by Moon Goddess) and declared his mate and Derek the human sealed it by agreeing....

Knotting

Happens only in True Mates... Alpha can knot their mate...

Mating Bite

It is a way of claiming mates practiced by both potential as well as true mate... It doesn’t change them into a werewolf if it is given to a human...

Blood Bond

It is a way vampires mate, where they exchange blood from each other partners during sexual encounter... This could be done often

I propped myself up on my elbow and grinned down at him. Derek’s eyes flickered across my face. He added with a devious smile, ‘And since I am very attracted to you, sometimes we can hang out … naked.’

I opened my mouth in feigned offense, but before I could say anything, he pulled me down and captured my words with his soft lips. And just like that, I surrendered to him and the questioning thoughts disappeared.
