24:Trapped

I woke up the next morning, light shining in my eyes. I was still in the observatory and a blanket was laid across me. I took a deep yawn and rubbed my eyes. I found my glasses on the coffee table and put them on. I looked around. I neither saw Laurance or Shadow. Strange. I decided to get a good look around the observatory a bit more, to get used to my surroundings. I exited the room and walked down the hall that lead to the staircase. The room still looked the same as before. I have to admit through, the place was small for such an building as this. Maybe they had some big. Attraction here or something. I'll ask Laurance later. It was literally how I saw it last night. Brighter? Yes. Bigger? No. As I got a good look of everything, I decided to focus on finding Laurance. I hoped he didn't leave me behind to go off...well, maybe. To not make people suspicious of what he's up to on his free time. I tried to peek outside the door, only to find out it's locked from the other side. I wasn't going to lie, I was a fed up at that point. The least Shadow could've done is leave a note or a rule list to specify as to where and why he left. But, I'm not complaining. He could've killed me if he wanted to last night. The exact opposite happened last night...oh my...my face just lit up in flames thinking about it. Then, it went to Blaze, then, to Aphmau. I was literally as red as if a ruby had a baby with a tomato. Being a teenager sucks, I decided at that moment. My feelings and emotions made everything worst and if I would've made up my mind, none of this would've happened.

Kid, you need to calm down and focus on the task at hand.

I decided to ignore his antics for a while to focus. I went back up to the observatory room and tried to find a way to open the windows and climb my way down in my Protector form.

"Already trying to escape, huh?"

I snapped my head back to see Shadow standing there. Why do I not call him Shadow when he's Laurance? Because, it's not him. I refuse to think that's him. The Laurance I know would never do this to me.

"I brought you breakfast,", He says, placing a take out bag of some donut place. "Sorry, I wasn't here to say good morning to you."

I stood there silent, glaring coldly at him. He sighed aggressively and asked;

"What do I have to do to make you have a full conversation with me?"

"When I see my friend and not the person who wants to keep me captive here."

He took a deep breath and transformed back to the brunette that I know.

"Better?", He asked.

"Somewhat,", I shrugged, coming up to him.

"You want breakfast?", He asked.

"Yes...thank you."

"For what?"
