Chapter 2: Accidents Cause Problems

Gadget's Pov:
I managed to stop running since I was getting tired. I started panting so I began walking. I didn't know where I was but I didn't care at the moment, I needed some time to myself. I don't need to remember Infinite right now, it's too much for me to handle.

I saw a cracked building and it seemed familiar to me, then I realized it was my old apartment complex. I walked inside although it seemed dangerous, it was the second place that comforted me. The first place was me in Infinite's arms.

Although walking in the remains of a building seemed dangerous, I would care less about it. I reached up to my room and as the rest of the rooms it was cracked and broken. I walked to where my old window was. Now you can literally see almost the whole town, half of the wall was torn off!

I saw flower growing from within the cracks of the leftover wall. It wasn't any normal flower, this one was glimmering and it was sliver (color not character). I reached in to take it and oddly enough the stem was weak.
It was in my hands now but before I could leave, I heard a crack. The floor was moving a bit and before I could move, half the floor now fell off. That half I was on and now I was falling. I flipped over so I was facing towards the sky.

I pointed my right hand hand towards the sky to shoot my grappling hook. I saw my hand and it didn't have my grappling hook. "I-I forgot...?" I thought getting a little mad at myself for forgetting. I closed my eyes wishing this wasn't real and then I felt two hands catch me.

Someone caught me before I fell but once opened my eyes, I noticed I was on the ground. I didn't have scars or I wasn't bleeding but I did feel like I sallowed something. I looked all over the place trying to find who caught me. I looked at the building and saw a black and white tail.

I was about to go over there to thank them for saving me but I was interrupted by my stomach that was growling in pain. I didn't know what to do and then I remembered about that flower. I must have sallowed it or something.

I began running back to the resistance base unit hoping to find out what was happening to me.
