Chapter 26: Wake Up

Gears' Pov:
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed as I took in the sight. The Resistance Base had just been jumped on and everyone was the ground. Luckliy they passed out and nothing more which means no one died. There were cracks on the wall, the computer's were cracked and showed error messages, and furniture was either misplaced or broken in half and thrown on someone. Ira ran past me as I stood by the doorway, he examined everyone's current condition. "I don't think they are too badly hurt but, we should heal their small wounds and let them have rest." Ira explained as he lifted up Amy and walked towards my room.

I quickly began gathering any furniture that was easy to rest on and not too broken. I carefully dragged up about 3 couches up to my room and Ira managed to put them all on them. By now, there were only 8 members left since Charmy and other members left the base to go somewhere else to help. Gadget was supposed to be one of them but, before he could go he had to check on a few people and that's when everything turned out the way it is now. I ran downstairs to grab whatever towels I could find and soaked them in water. I put each towel on their foreheads and really that was all we could do.

After we done everything we could do, we just waited for one of them to wake up. I feel gulity about it since I am just watching them in coma-like state yet, I don't do anything about it. I sit there and just wait for time to tell me when they gain consciousness. It has to be one of the longest hours I experienced probably more than back in the war. "JUST WAKE UP!" I yelled out as my patience finally made me snap, I felt tears prick my eyes though I didn't know why. Was it the stress I was feeling or my impatient state of mind? I don't know anymore but, ny feelings got the best of me. Ira put a hand on my shoulder to comfort me knowing how mentally weak I am compared to my brother.

"Ugh, is someone there?" I heard a low tone voice say. We both looked in the direction of the voice to see Shadow sitting up and looking around. "Gears! Infinite!" He exclaimed as he saw us, he immediately stood up and walked towards us. He stumbled on his way though and that's when I realized he is limping from whatever damaged him. "Woah careful, your leg looks pretty sore." Ira commented as we all sat down on the floor. I was happy that at least one person was awake although it wouldn't matter who it was since I just wanted answers as to what happen. "So Shadow, do you remembered what happen to you before passing out?" I asked, he began to think for a bit and I think that's where all the memories rushed to his mind.

"SONIC!" He yelled out as he stood up in complete panic. Ira stood up to grab his arms and calm down as they both slowly sat down. "Sonic? What about Sonic?" I questioned, I began to worry a bit knowing that Sonic did suffer from torture before. "Corvin and Fuschia ended up being clones that Perfect Infinity made. They attacked us and took Sonic with them! Now I don't know where they are or what they're doing to Sonic!" Shadow explained in a half panic and half nervousness tone of voice. "I think I might have an idea of where they could be." Ira replied as he nudged my arm, we recently came back from Gadget's base so it was worth a shot.

"However you need to rest and the rest of the members must wake up. Got it?" I added and Shadow nodded, we left the room to let them sleep and get better. As I walked back downstairs, I couldn't shake this feeling that Sonic may get tortured again. Not just mentally though but, this time physically.
