Chapter 7: Answers Found?

Sonic's Pov:
The Rookie has gone too far now, he hurt Tails! "I'm fine Sonic really! No need to worry!" Tails kept protesting. "Tails, you're limping! Why are you protesting? Look at your size!" I exclaimed. "Okay I'm sorry Sonic...I'm just a bit afraid." He finally said. I saw tears at the corner of his eyes but I wiped them away.

"I wonder why Gadget did that...he's so sweet and kind." I said as I looked at the stairs. "He's probably blinded by anger or something like that. Or maybe he's hiding something." Tails suggested. As I was about to say something Rouge came barging in. "Sonic! We've just found where Infinite is!" Rouge yelled out.

"Really? Alright then, I'll go capture that jackal! Tails stay here and maybe try to keep an eye on Gagdet and Gears." I said as I ran to Rouge. I saw him nod slightly as I followed Rouge outside.

We've reached Mystic Jungle and by far I'm impressed that Infinite has managed to survive. "Infinite's coordinates say he's in this exact spot." Rouge explained as she looked at her watch which contained a small map. "Okay..." I said weakly and worriedly.

"Is something wrong blue?" She asked noticing my tone of voice. "Well, I'm just worried about Tails and Gagdet. Gagdet hurt my own best friend and I don't know why! I feel like Infinite has something to do with this." I explained my hands on my face.

"Don't worry we'll get to the bottom of this. I prom-wait listen." She stopped mid-sentence as she heard footsteps. We hid behind a bush staying as quiet as possible. The footsteps kept getting louder and louder until the person appeared. "Infinite..." I whispered as I tried to keep an eye on where he was going.

Once he got his back turned, I sneaked up carefully trying to make sure I don't break a twig or something. He was about to turn around until I jumped on him and apprehend him. "Let go of me, you imbecile!" He yelled out as he struggled to break free. "How about no? Rouge! Help me get him to the base!" I yelled out. She flew over here and we both grabbed one of Infinite's arms.

"Where are you fools taking me?" He kept trying to break free from our hold. "Our base and we have a few questions for you Infinite." Rouge said as I felt her tighten her grip on Infinite. "Where you the one who beat up Gagdet's little brother Gears?" I asked him. He didn't respond and then Rouge kicked his leg which caused him pain.

"Okay okay yes! It was by accident, I actually didn't mean to." Infinite said hesitantly. "Hmm, let's see what Gadget has to say about this." I responded and I saw him get nervous. I can't blame him for that, I'm worried that Gadget might do something worse than just hurt Infinite.
