Everyone has their own way of paying for college or med school. Some people get jobs like a waitress or a cashier to make the money and pass the time, but Sarah Reese was not that girl. Sarah has taken up dog walking. Everyday after the shift is over, she walked five dogs around town for thirty minutes. If she walked more than five dogs, it would get a little out of hand. Normally, something like that would not be a big deal, but for someone like Sarah she could get pulled to the ground easily.

One night while walking the dogs, a squirrel ran out into the road. Only one out of the five dogs remained calm. The rest took off towards the squirrel. The dogs immediately jerked suddenly flinging Sarah to the pavement. Sarah didn't want the dogs to get lost so she refused to let go of the leashes. She'd hate to be the one to loose someones dog.

Luckily, she only pumped her head on the pavement. It made a bruise but it didn't split open and bleed. The spot on her head didn't really hurt much. When she dragged herself up from the ground, she immediately started to scold the dogs. The dog that behaved, unfortunately got in trouble along with the others.

Sarah worried about returning home to Connor. As she finished her walk with the dogs, she started to think about what he would say. Would he think someone hit her? What would Connor say if she told him why she was walking dogs? She most definitely would not take his money. Just like most people, she wanted to be able to support herself without taking any of his money. Sarah returned the dogs to their owners. None of them notices her head and she thought that gave her a good chance of Connor not noticing. She walked home.

Keys jingled out of her pocket and fell to the ground. Sarah picked them up and unlocked the door. She walked in expecting to see Connor sitting on the couch. He wasn't on the couch, he was in the kitchen cooking. "How was work?" He asked after she walked in and set her keys down on the table by the door. She took her coat off, smelling the food he was making. "It was good," She sat down on the stoll in the kitchen. He snickered a bit, "Just good??" "Okay, you're right. It was pretty awesome today. We got to see this-" she had just thought that he hadn't notice the scrap on her head when, "Whoa, are you okay??" He walked around the counter immediately checking her pupils and looking at the wound. "Are you serious?? Calm down Doctor." He ignored that comment and was silent while looking over her for a second.

"Connor, I'm fine.." "Just tell me what happened," Connor asked as he went back to cooking. "I've... been walking dogs." He looked surprised for a moment. "I just have one question," He turned around with a spoon in his hand, "Why are you walking dogs??"He asked before sitting the spoon down. Sarah sighed, "Med school bills are not really going to get payed off on there own."

Connor nodded, "Oh okay. Makes sense," he turned around and handed her a plate full of food he just had made. "Really?" she asked. "What do you mean?" "I thought you would be a lot more demanding. I was not going to take your money. I'm not going to be that girl." Connor sighed again before taking a bite and soon after kissing her, "Why do you think I said nothing like that? I know you would never take money from me." Sarah and Connor laughed a little before going back to the food.

After a little bit of silence, Sarah looked up from her fork and half full plate, "You've gotta teach me how to cook like this..." "In time Reese, in time." Connor chuckled a bit while he got up to put his plate in the sink.
