He stubbornly clenched his jaw to stop his teeth from chattering. The frosty air had already begun to seep into the tiny cabin they were in. "Damian, stop being an idiot and get over here!" Mar'i angrily hollered as he looked over to her and scooted closer to the fire, "I believe the flames will do." He insisted as she flew over to him, "Okay, Okay. I'm sorry for injuring your little pride, but you look like you're about to freeze to death and I'm half-Tamaranean. I'm at least thirty degrees warmer than you, are you sure you don't wanna give me a hug?" She giggled at her own comment and he shook his head, "I'm fine." He insisted as she nodded, "Okay then." She shrugged and plonked herself down next to him.

"Stupid snow." He hissed as she smirked to herself.
While on a covert ops mission they had managed to get themselves trapped in an insanely small log cabin that had literally been encased in ice. Obviously it didn't help that said ice had been piled on by Killer Frost and Mr. Freeze, who they had happened to be scouting out at the time. Mar'i had already tried to melt it with her starbolts, but due to the lack of solar energy, she was pretty much drained. "Just hold my hands or something, you'll get frostbite." She insistently warned as he rolled his eyes and complied, taking her hands and intertwining their fingers. "Now isn't that bet-" She was cut off by him pulling her into his lap and wrapping his arms around her, "You're right, you are really warm." He mumbled as she giggled, "I told you so."

"You did." He mumbled with an arrogant smirk that she couldn't stop herself from loving. "How long do you think it will be before we can get out of here?" Mar'i asked as he shrugged, "As soon as humanly possible. I don't particularly enjoy having you this close to me." He muttered as she laughed, her voice completely devoid of amusement, "Fine then." She flew out of his grip and he glared at her, "Fine." He returned.

After a few minutes he got up and walked over to her, "I'm sorry. It's just frustrating being trapped in here. I believe they call it 'cabin fever' which is humorous, seeing as a cabin is literally what we are trapped in." He sighed and sat down beside her as she frowned and looked around, "We only have to be level headed for another day or so, just until they can get here." She said as he nodded, "It's merely tedious. Waiting here for hours upon hours with nothing to do." He sighed. She scooted forwards and held out her hands, "C'mon Dami, we can make our own fun." She grabbed his wrists and pulled him up with her, rambling on, "I was an only child, I had to think of ways to entertain myself all the time." She twirled around the room and he boredly watched her, "Don't be imbecilic Mar'i." He exasperatedly sighed as she laughed and floated in an arc over his head, "Why don't you think of something to do then?" She prodded, landing behind him. He turned around with a smirk, "If you insist." He put his hands on her waist and tugged her closer so they were barely a centimetre apart. "What are you doing...?" She trailed off, getting lost in his deep green eyes. He leant forwards and kissed her, tilting her head back with a hand, "Hm?" He mumbled against her lips, a question of sorts. "Mm hm." She breathed, winding her arms around his neck and kissing him again, running her hands through his hair.

He leisurely kissed down her throat as she rolled her head back and involuntarily gasped, shakily pushing him away, "Damian, not a good idea. Ruin our friendship. Make it awkward." Her shaky grip tightened around his arms and further pushed him away as she spoke the clipped statements. "Not if we care for one another." He stepped closer and pressed his lips to hers again in an attempt to sway her. She smiled and pulled back, looking at him, "You care for me?" She asked as he nodded, "I thought it obvious." He blatantly said as she laughed, "You need a new definition of 'obvious'." She giggled as he rolled his eyes, "I have a perfectly reasonable def-"
"Just shut up and kiss me." She exasperatedly interrupted.

And he did just that.
