Credits and Announcement!

I didn't think, when I was writing away trying to finish this up, that I was actually going to be so sad to finish this story! The truth is, this story started back when I was 14 years old, and I became absolutely obsessed with building up Rea to be a relatable, dependable, and likeable character. I seriously have so much artwork of her from me and other people that I could probably make a picture book along side this! In all seriousness though, I need to give some credit where it's due, because while it may seem like I had this story together all along--- not all the characters are actually my creation!

Blair, Mio - (Ashleigh, mochacherry.deviantart.com) Blair was the first extra to be introduced into the series, inspired by the blossom of friendship I had made on deviantart with the creation of a kingdom hearts oc. I took Blair in, full well knowing that to include her in this story and get enough of her backstory for it to matter, she'd have to be a BIG part of the story. I don't regret adding in her as an extra at all, because Blair helped push emotional drama, and honestly, as Rea hugged her goodbye, I felt like I was giving my last thank you to Ashleigh for being a structure of dependence throughout my writing. As far as Mio goes, she was a total last minute decision, not gonna lie. I threw her in blindly and HEY~ it worked! Haha.

Yale - (Kimberlyn, HoneyandtheDevon) Hi, so, remember how there's like a big hinter romance between Yale and Axel? Kim's writing that, and I'm her editor! Besides the fact that she's absolutely one of the greatest friends I've ever made, (And another one I made online) she is a GREAT writer, and I gave her full permission to tie in my characters to her story, so if you want more KH goodness, I really reccomend checking out her page! Plus, it'll explain the ties of Yale, which I never really got to do.

Lyrexks- (Skyler) I'd link you to his DA, but he's not really active on there anymore, more or less talking about Kingdom Hearts. I guess his need for a KH oc actually only ever came out because he felt the need to impress me, but I of course, took it in full stride and took his character lovingly into my story's arms. I guess that kind of explains why I chose to tie him into Hikaru's character and hold romantic interest in Rea! Not sure he'd want me to say that now, but I'm going to say it anyways because it's the truth, and I acted on romantic sparks. (note: We never went anywhere, despite my KH themed love profession. Sigh. Maybe not the best way to win a guy)

Cali- (Liz, SasuSakuchick.deviantart.com) Liz kind of disappeared on me, she had a newer DA profile, but I guess she deleted it. Her old one, however, still holds so many beautiful artworks related to all the characters listed above and more, and I really reccomend peeking at it if you have the time (Rea's in there, too!) I knew that in agreeing to take in her character to my story, I had to figure out a big plot twist, because I wasn't about to throw another girl on the gummi ship. That's where the inspiration struck me to have Rea go to Maleficent. Look at how that worked out, I killed my own character! Jeez.

Yuri- (Jess, fancyduckie.deviantart.com) Pftt. I love Jess. She's actually a really good friend I made at a convention one year, and she wanted to add in a character cause she was a bit jelly I had like 9 other people (exaggerating). So, she came up with YURI. Yes, her name was a play on her demeanor, and the description Jess gave me of her was absolutely priceless!

"Sexual Preferences: ??? Seems to be running after poor Rea at the moment"

And now it's time for that part that I know you're actually reading for-- An announcement?! What could Devon possibly have to say?

Firstly, I'm sorry if I made you cry. Like, ever. I'll admit that was my intention, and you'll forgive me and we'll move on!

Secondly, and most importantly, the announcement is...

A sequel!

Not in the way you'd hope, though, I think. The idea came to me in the shower the other morning and now I have to follow through-- Heartless Patrol will be a series about Rea and Sora getting assigned to travel over their summer from world to world to make sure there's absolutely no sign of heartless, which will include several new worlds and SEVERAL new outfit changes. (Remember Bolt? That's coming in to play!) I'm not gonna give everything away here, but prepare yourself soon because once I feel happy in all my work with my Edward Scissorhands story (I'm gonna have to watch that movie nine times over), THE SEQUEL IS COMING, BABY!
