She was finally home!!!

The text came in; in the middle of a very important conference. I made quick arrangements for Wilson to pick her up at the tarmac and take her directly home. I know her angry protests would follow but I couldn't afford for her to show up at this particular meeting as it involved the final stages of the merger. We were finally going through with it. It was a done deal. I will be the CEO of Winthrop Enterprises. Although deep down I stipulated with Gregory on various occasions that this was temporary until after Kira had the baby, he assured me that the decision was solely in our hands. It was what ever we decided.

Once again I look at the time. I tried to ease the growing impatience from my body. Lord knows how I have missed her. Tonight would be our first full evening alone together in weeks. Unfortunately, Miliana is away in Vermont with Christie for the weekend and she wasn't able to be here when Kira returned. So, she is home finally resting. But I hadn't seen her in so long-could I keep it together long enough to just let her go home to rest?

With a semblance of forced calm, I checked my phone once again and focused on the pic she sent me earlier. Her teasing pic with her tongue sticking out at me didn't hide her exhausted smile that pulled at something tender deep in my chest. As much as the idea of finally getting home and getting into bed with her seems phenomenal, but after looking at her picture; Although gorgeous as ever, I'm not sure we will be on the same page. So the dream of actually burying myself deep in her and fucking her into the mattress to make up for the 2 weeks without her...Is out of the question.

Holy shit! I was desperate.

With a sigh I was relieved the meeting was finally over. Back in my office, I dropped some files on my desk and stared at my monitor, that displayed an array of meetings and conferences on my calendar. I'd pulled insanely long workdays the entire week just to keep from flying to Chicago and bringing her home. My gaze landed on the heart shape over next weeks date.

I smiled. We will actually be seeing our little one for the first time. Even if we couldn't see much being its so early along in the pregnancy it didn't matter. The fact that a baby was there growing healthy, that's what mattered. The slight knock on my door pulled my attention away from the screen. I looked up and saw Rachel step in through the door.

"I have the bid for Henderson, Phelps and Gerard, all typed up Mr. Chase. " She stepped forward placing the file on my desk.

"Thank you, Rachel, " I picked it up and glanced through the first three pages. " I'm going to need you to cancel my appointments for the rest of the evening," I reached over for my suitcase.

"Of course," she said. "Any particular reason?"

I smiled as I straightened out my desk and shutdown my computer. "I am going home early, Mrs. Chase is finally home."

"Wow, She is?"

"Yes."

I walked over and pulled my coat off the back of a nearby chair. "I will see you in the morning. Have a good evening."

"Ummm...you too Mr. Chase." she waved.

I met Wilson in the underground garage.

"Are we going home, Mr. Chase?" he asked opening the door.

I paused. "Actually no, Wilson, take me real quick to the florist shop down on 6th ave. "

With a nod, he smiled. "Yes, Sir."

After the quick ride across town, We finally arrived home. The quick ride up in the elevator gave me just enough time to straighten my tie in the floor to ceiling mirror beside me. As ironic as it sounds, I felt nervous. Its been 2 weeks but it felt like an eternity. The ding and opening doors pulled my gaze away from the mirror. Entering the the living-room, I placed my things on the nearby couch and grabbed the bouquet I brought for her then walked over towards the bedroom. At the door, I stopped and leaned against it to look at her. She was fast asleep.
