When they told you a group of successful idols was coming to mentor you, you never imagined seeing a familiar face. Of course, you knew he was successful, it was all your former classmates talked about and you knew you would probably run into him again, but you never imagined it would be before your debut.

He seemed just as surprised to see you, immediately dropping his confident swagger. He made eye contact and gave you a small smile of acknowledgement.

Your group mates popped up when BTS walked into the room and a few nudged you knowing your connection to Jimin.

"Hey, so we're BTS and we're here to mentor you for the day," RM, the leader started. You smiled at the professionalism, knowing one day you may find yourself in a similar situation. "Why don't we start with your debut choreography?"

You stood up with the rest of your members and got into your positions. The music started and you immediately felt nervous dancing in front of Jimin. You'd probably done it hundred of times before, you'd danced together for hours when you were preparing for a performance in school. But now, he was an idol and you were a trainee.

Eventually you found yourself getting lost in the music, it always happened, if not instantly, by half way through the song, you were completely lost in the rhythm. This had been your downfall a few times forgetting to sing your part as you were too focused on the dance.

When the song finished, the boys nodded and had you run through it again. This time slowly as they stopped and corrected things. There wasn't much to correct, you and your members had worked tirelessly to perfect the choreography, but you were surprised when you suddenly felt someone behind you. You looked in the mirror to see Jimin.

"Try changing your posture," he said. "It will make the move look more fluid." Hesitantly, he placed his hand on your back and helped you adjust so your posture fit the move better. Normally, you would've rejected someone who tried to adjust your posture, idol or not. But considering the many hours you'd practiced together in school, you knew Jimin was simply trying to help you.

"Do you know her? You seemed very friendly with her?" Jhope asked Jimin as they had stepped outside for lunch.

"We went to school together," he said. "Back in Busan. We used to practice together a lot."

"You didn't know she was a trainee?"

Jimin shook his head.

"No, I always knew she wanted to be an idol. But I didn't know she'd signed."

"Well, it seems as if we will be seeing more of her." Hoseok smirked and moved back towards the practice room.

With you and Jimin it always seemed to end up like this. It was 11pm and everyone else had gone home. Although not without shooting both of you a few suspicious looks. But all you did was dance.

First it started with your debut choreography, which he'd managed to pick up most of throughout the day.  Then, you practiced some of his old choreography and eventually it became pure freestyle.

You laughed as he ran and did a flip, landing perfectly. You'd never really been one for stunts, your feet mostly stayed planted on the ground and you rolled you eyes as he smirked at you, daring you to outdo him.

Somehow you both ended up on the floor. Laying beside each other on your backs, staring up at the white ceiling of the practice room.

"Who would've thought we'd both become idols?" you asked. "Think about us back in school. How silly we were."

Jimin smiled.

"How silly I was," he corrected. "You were always so focused, so serious."

"Oh come on, you know that's not true. I liked to have fun, too. You always practiced longer than I did."

"I needed to."

You laughed and punched him playfully.

"Yet you're the idol and I'm the trainee."

He reached over and grabbed your hand, intertwining your fingers.

"You'll be an idol soon enough."

One of your fellow members popped a bottle of champagne at the exact second your debut went live. It felt surreal knowing you were on your way to being an idol. Halfway through the night, you wandered off from the party, a little tipsy, but not drunk. You had found yourself outside in the garden of the rented house. You felt two arms encircle your waist and pull you pack against the owner.

"Congratulations jagi," Jimin said, his face beaming as you turned around.

He held a bouquet of flowers and presented them to you shyly hiding his face behind them. You giggled and took the bouquet from him.

"Thank you, oppa," you said, leaning in to kiss him, wondering how you got so lucky to run into Jimin again.

"You're welcome. Now, that you're an idol, I'll have to worship you."

You rolled your eyes and kissed him before he could spew more stupid come ons.
