Hello!

I don't normally post things like this in my imagines book. However, I felt this topic was one worthy of going in my most read book.

Today (October 10th) is World Mental Health Day. A day to raise awareness and knowledge of mental health and related issues.

As someone who suffers from her fair share of mental health issues, I want to be open with my readers, so that if you too have mental health issues, maybe you won't feel so alone.

I've written more specifically about my mental health issues in my random book before. But, I suffer mainly from General Anxiety Disorder and Depression. If you have any questions about these, I will be happy to do my best to answer them.

I acknowledge that my experience is not everyone else's. This is part of the reason I created The Love Yourself Project to highlight the different ways people experience life and the different ways we love ourselves.

BTS has been fundamental in the conversation about mental health. From Yoongi and Namjoon being very open with their own struggles, to their Love Yourself and Speak Yourself campaigns, and to their goal to comfort ARMY with their music.

There is no shame in suffering from mental illness. There is no shame in admitting you need help. There is no shame in seeing a therapist or counselor. There is no shame in taking medication.

I'm proud of myself to continuing to survive and fight. I'm proud you for continuing to survive and fight. We are all in this together and just because others may not be able to see your illness. Just because YOU may not be able to see your illness doesn't mean it isn't there or that you have to suffer silently.

Reach out to those who love you and whom you love and to those that you trust. They can help you, and if they can't, they can find someone who can.

I provided links for the main English language countries and helplines. However, if you live outside of those regions, there is still help (I just can't easily access it due to language barriers). It only takes a quick Google search to find help lines and places that can help you find affordable counseling/ therapy in your area.

My inbox and I'm sure many others are always open to talk. We all have bad days or times where we don't feel completely ourselves/ in control of ourselves. That's okay and you can overcome it.

There are plenty of people out there that care about you. BTS makes their music to provide comfort for us. Find your Magic Shop. Find your Answer. Yell So What at the thoughts that plague you. Let Go of your fears. Love Yourself.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I would be more than happy to answer any questions in the comments. I simply want to spread awareness and help those who may not know where to turn. If you are lucky enough to not have a mental illness, support those you know who do. That can mean many different things, but the first step is to love them and ask them what exactly they need.

You are strong and you got this. Remember BTS is with you and so am I.
