"Uh, everything okay?" Hyunmin—the guy you had danced with—asked. His eyebrow was slightly arched and his expression amused at the way you held Jimin's tie.

To your dismay, Jimin also looked slightly amused at the way you had him corralled. Although, his expression fell flat when Hyunmin reaches out for your elbow.

You glared at Jimin as you let go of his tie. "Yeah," you said. "Everything's fine."

Jimin's eyes wandered around the ball room, making sure you hadn't drawn too much attention to yourself. Luckily, other than Hyunmin and the people nearby, no one seemed to care.

He noticed the way your brow furrowed and your fingers tensed at your sides. As if you were going to pull a knife out from under your skirt and stab it straight through his heart.

"This is so stupid. Out of everyone it had to be you." You bit your lip. Lipstick stained your teeth.

"It looks like they re-stocked the mint macrons," Jimin said, softly touching your elbow and pointing towards the table, where there was in fact a fresh mound of macrons.

You pulled away from his grasp at the same time your pulled away your dagger eyes.

"Hyunmin," you said, pausing until the other boy turned to look at you. "I want to get out of here."

Hyunmin gave you a sideways look before he smiled widely. You didn't really care for Hyunmin much, only seeing him at banquets and parties that you attended for your father. But, you hardly wanted to stay at the banquet after learning Jimin was the bodyguard your dad hired.

"No," Jimin said. "If you want to leave, I'll take you home, but you can't leave with him."

You scoffed. "I can do whatever I want, pretty boy."

You grabbed Hyunmin's sleeve and dragged him towards the door. He soon put an arm around you and the two of you ran out of the banquet, laughing when you reached Hyunmin's car.

Jimin was nowhere in sight and you'd left the constant conversation of the party. Now only the darkness and silence surrounded. It wasn't quite silence, you could still hear the faraway sounds made it seem like the darkness was water and you were submerged. Only hearing the sounds through plugged ears.

"That was fun, eh?" Hyunmin asked, still laughing as he unlocked his car.

"Why did you drive here?" you asked, looking through the full parking lot that was mostly full of the staff's vehicles.

"Not all of us have fancy drivers like you."

"Sure, but—"

You were cut off by the call of your name. Looking towards the entrance of the venue, you saw Jimin. His face was red and you could see that one side of his button down had come untucked.
