A/N: Idk what this is. I was bored, had a bad day, and didn't feel like actually writing. Hope you enjoy and let me know if you've read any of these books. I either own or have read the books I recommend here, and I'm always up for talking about books. Also, stream D-2.

Our resident reading king, Kim Namjoon, has given us many recommendations himself. Namjoon's reading taste is a bit all over the place and he likes many genres. However, he does gravitate towards novels with either philosophical themes or that deal with large universal questions/ themes (love, death, etc). He is also not afraid of mature themes or taboos.

I've read a few of the books he's recommended (both before and after he recommended them) and there's one book I think he would particularly like. It's also one of my favorites: The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.

The book takes place in 1950's Belgian Congo (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and follows a white American family who come as missionaries. It explores large themes like colonialism, racism, allyism, love, death, abuse, etc. It's a lot, but it's a fantastic and beautiful book that I think Namjoon--and many of you--would enjoy.

I read it when I was 17, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 16 as it is mature in some parts and it's hard to grasp sometimes. It is classified as an adult book (as in for adults not in the smut way) , so, do consider that before picking this up.

Jin strikes me as the type that everyone thinks he doesn't read, but he actually enjoys it. He might not have a ton of time for it or prioritize reading for fun, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy it. He strikes me as someone who would jump genres a lot and always go back to his favorites.

This may be surprising, but I think that Jin would really be into horror literature. He like something that can keep his attention, so he gravitates towards things like horror, science fiction, and adventure novels for this reason. Based on this, I've chosen Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.
