The first night in your new apartment went well. You'd managed to unpack most of your things. You hated unpacking and knowing you would probably wouldn't get it done otherwise, opted for a late night.
Having grown up outside the city, you weren't sure what to expect from an apartment. Was there going to be constant noise? Would you get t know your neighbors or would you all pretend you didn't know intimate details of each other's lives?
But you couldn't believe just how intimate the details could get. The banging of the headboard against the wall and the faint moans you could hear from your neighbor's bedroom that shared a wall with yours.
You'd been arranging the books on your bookshelf when it started. You almost laughed at the absurdity of it all. You hadn't met these neighbors yet, but you assumed if they lived together it would be a common occurrence and one you would just have to get used to.

You walked out the door seeking food and groceries, as you hadn't had time to pick them up yesterday after lugging all the boxes up the stairs.
"Look out!" you heard a voice shout.
You turned to look, but it was too late. A large mass of white fluff had engulfed you and you let out a small whimper, unsure of what was currently on top of you. You felt something soft and wet and you suddenly realized the creature was licking you and couldn't help but laugh a little as you struggled beneath the dog.
You could hear another voice, presumably the one who warned you in the first place. With a tug on the leash and a few scolding words the dog got off of you.
"Sorry about that," he said. "Mochi gets a little excited after a run."
You looked up and saw a man looking down at you. You moved to sit up but we shocked at his appearance. He was shirtless for starters, the white t shirt he had been wearing slung over his shoulder, headphones hanging down over it. A pair of tight gym shorts and tennis shoes finished it off. You pulled your jaw off the floor before it became awkward and stood up.
"It's okay," you said. "It was a bit jarring, but he obviously didn't mean me any harm." You reached down and patted the dogs head lightly.
"I hadn't realized anyone had moved into this apartment yet," he said. A slight blush come over his cheeks, which seemed contrary to every other part of his appearance. "I hope I didn't keep you up last night."
You eyes widened when you realized what he meant and you felt yourself flush as well.
"I-uh-no," you finally got out. "I had to unpack."
He nodded his head.
"It was nice to meet you," he said. "And if I ever do bother you, feel free to just hit the wall. I'll get the message."
He and Mochi walked towards the door of his apartment and he waved to you politely as he turned the key and disappeared inside his apartment.

"Good morning, Mochi!" you exclaimed. You squatted down and petted the dog who excitedly tried to lick your face. You laughed before standing up to greet the dog's owner.
You'd gotten used to see the two after their morning run. Jimin normally wore a shirt now, you weren't sure if you had just caught him on an off day the first time or if he had been embarrassed.
"Good morning," you said, greeting the dog's master. "Good run today?"
"Yeah," Jimin answered. "Mochi tired me out this time."
You laughed softly.
"You know, I see you two every morning, but I haven't met your girlfriend yet," you said.
Jimin's face froze. His eyes wide and his lips in the awkward position between half open and half closed.
"I don't have a girlfriend," he said, awkwardly. "It's just me and Mochi."
"Then, who is it you're having--" you cut yourself off. "Oh, God, sorry."
You quickly clamped your hand over your mouth, trying to laugh at yourself.
Luckily, Jimin seemed to have a similar reaction, except he wasn't hiding his laughter well. Eventually, the two of you burst into a fit of giggles.
"I'm sorry, I just assumed," you said. "The first night I figured you just lived with someone."
Jimin shook his head.
"Don't worry about it. It's normally a safe assumption to make."
With a body and face like his, it was no surprise he could get girls back to his apartment so easily. Heck, he probably just had to show them a picture of Mochi.
"But, you know, I hear stuff too, right?"
This time your face froze. What could have Jimin possibly have heard through the wall? You were typically the quiet sort, loud activities weren't really your thing.
"Well, you have a nice singing voice for starters," he said. " And your sister's name is Yuna. You tend to talk to her a lot. And if I'm right, I think you told her once how hot I looked with my shirt off?"
He smirked down at you and you couldn't help the blush that formed on your cheeks.
"Oh God," you said. "I, uh, I didn't know you could hear everything."
"The walls are quite thin in this building."
He noticed your embarrassed form and he softened slightly.
"It's okay," he said. "I thought it was cute. So cute, that I kept getting up an hour early for my runs just to see you. Although, I think Mochi secretly wanted to as well."
You smiled looking down at the dog. You squatted down and ruffled the dog's ears.
"Oh, Mochi, why didn't you just tell me how you felt?"
"I think Mochi felt a bit bad about the first time you met."
"Oh, is that all?" you asked, cutely, still focusing on the dog. "There's a really simple way to make up for that, you know?"
You stood up and looked at Jimin.
"What would Mochi say to buying me a cup of coffee? Then, we'll be even."
"He'd love to."
