Warning: Drugs n stuff.

Mark's P.O.V

Taylor looked beautiful as always. She was holding my hand and I had to admit I felt pretty proud getting to show her off like this.  All the producers were making jokes about how I got a girl like Taylor but I just made jokes right back. Joke was on them.

She was with me. And once the party was over I was the one that got to take her home. And I knew that made me the luckiest guy. I got to see her in her Pyjamas without the make up or the heels or the cocktail dress.  And that was when she looked most beautiful to me.

She had this quality about her that came from inside of her that shone out for all to see. She captivated everyone she met without even realising. And that was why everyone's eyes were on her tonight.

I liked parties but not ones like these.  I couldn't wait to leave.  But I had to "mingle" and do all the boring band promotion stuff. I didn't mind. I liked meeting people and talking to them but right now I just wanted to spend time with Taylor.  She kissed me on the cheek lightly as she excused herself to get a drink.

I watched her walk away with a smile on my face. My smile widened as I saw the gazes she was drawing.

"Looks like you're in deep Hoppus." Said our producer.

I nodded shamelessly.

"Yeah."

"I don't blame you.  Oh watch out Wendy's coming over."

I tensed. I hadn't spent much time with her since that awkward day in the studio.  I guessed that was intentional.

"Mark come over here I'd like you to meet someone."

I exhaled. Here goes.  I followed behind Wendy and was annoyed when she looped her arm through mine but there wasn't much I could do about it.

Tom and Travis were being ushered over from the bar.  Tom looked about as thrilled about this as I felt on the inside.

We'd been working the room for what felt like hours but had probably only been half an hour.  Wendy kept brushing her hand over my bicep and I really wanted to tell her to stop but I wasn't in a position to do that.

I glanced over at the bar. Taylor was talking to another girl. I think she was dating a girl from one of the other bands on the label but I couldn't remember which one.  Tom slipped away leaving me and Travis with a very flirty Wendy and boring music industry  people.  Just great.

I glanced back over at the bar and found that Tom was now between Taylor and the other girl. Typical.  Tom put his hand on the small of Taylor's back.  I felt my stomach clench.  Don't get jealous Mark. Stop.

She was wearing a beautiful burgundy tight long sleeved short and backless dress.  Tom's hand was on her bare skin. I watched as he moved his hand across to her hip. That was overly friendly.  Jen wasn't here tonight. If she had been I wonder if she'd have felt the same way I did watching them now.  Taylor and the other girl were laughing at whatever Tom was saying.  I felt the jealousy I desperately didn't want to feel course through me.

"ark, Mark are you listening?"

I turned my attention back to a slightly annoyed Wendy.

I nodded and tried to ignore what was happening over at the bar.  Which was proving very difficult.

Taylor's P.O.V

I was glad Tom had managed to escape I'd been standing alone at the bar for a while. I wasn't alone as such another girl named Julie said "this happened a lot" at these kind of things. Waiting around out of the picture while your friends/partners schmoozed.
