Taylor's P.O.V

Jack was 4 years old today. I couldn't believe it. I watched with a big smile on my face as he and Mark played tag. Jack's laugh was the purest most beautiful sound. He was getting more like his dad every day. Mark started tickling him and his breathless laughter filled my heart with happiness.

"Mom! Help!" He squealed.

I laughed as I raced over and picked him up swinging him into my arms. He threw his little arms around my neck and hugged me tight. Our little boy was getting so big. I held him tighter.

Mark had taken a back seat when it came to performing and touring to be closer to us. I was so grateful for him being here especially when Jack was so small but I knew he missed being out on stage. A lot. He loved producing music and doing TV I knew that but I knew that performing was what really made him light up. I wished tgere was a way to get him back up there.

Tom and Jen arrived and I let Jack down as he ran towards Ava and they started to play together. Ava would start school after the summer. They grew up so fast. I gave Tom a big hug. He looked exhausted. No wonder he and Jen had only had Jonas Rocket (I knew Tom had a lot to do with his middle name for sure) 6 months ago. He was gorgeous. I touched Jonas' baby  soft cheeks in Jen's arms.

"You look just like your dad. Unlucky huh?" I teased as I winked at Tom.

Tom rolled his eyes at me and Jen laughed.

I smiled as Travis and Lizzie's car pulled up. Travis had been in a really serious plane accident last year and all of us were very grateful to still have him with us. It had brought us all a lot closer together. Our old high school gang was still going strong. And that made me happier than anything.

Travis and Lizzie's kids were beautiful. Landon ran over to play with Jack and Ava. He'd be going to school with Jack next year. They had a daughter now too. Little Alabama. She was gorgeous and just about to turn 2.  She was the reason Travis' recovery time had been so quick. We all knew that for sure. She was a daddy's girl and he knew she needed him. He and Lizzie were still going stronger than ever. Lizzie had gotten so soft that she'd even agreed to marry. I was so happy that all my friends had found happiness and that we were all still here trying to raise kids in this crazy world.

My mom, dad and brothers and their wives all drove up. Mark's mom and dad. A very pregnant Anne and beaming Matt. Everyone I loved was here to celebrate our little boy's birthday. And I knew I would never have felt as happy as I did now if it weren't for every single one of these beautiful people.

Mark put his arm around me and kissed me. This was everything I'd ever wanted and more.

Later

Jack was all tired out. I'd just put him to bed. I could hear Tom, Mark and Travis talking downstairs and laughing. I smiled as I walked into the room and watched them from the doorway. Their hair was a little less crazy, they had fine little laughter lines on their faces, sleep deprivation from raising kids but they were still the same three punks who'd stumbled into my life on first day of senior year.  And I was so glad they had.

Tom glanced up at me and frowned.

"What you looking at creep?"

I laughed.

"My boys. What are you talking about?"

"Memories. You know in 2 years it'll be 20 years since we started blink...I can't believe it." Said Tom shaking his head in disbelief.
