Guess What Broke?!

Weeks went by and it seemed like minutes. One thing led to another, and the next thing I knew, Cher's baby shower had finished. So much preparation went into it, and I was honestly glad that it was done.

She had been thrilled with the entire thing, from the location, to the food, and even to all of the gifts she received. There were so many people there, yet only a select few knew the father. The only thing missing from the party itself was Perrie.

She didn't show up, which was astonishing to not only me, but Cher, too. Perrie had been a very close friend to Cher, and when the bomb dropped about everything, we don't really know where she went off to. But, honestly, we didn't care much. Especially after the baby shower no-show.

The guys were still on tour, I hadn't seen any of them once, besides Skype. And being on baby watch with Cher was stopping me from visiting. I talked to Lou almost every night, depending on the time difference and concert schedule.

God, it was hard to hear his voice. I missed him so much. I knew it wouldn't be long until he got to see me again, but it didn't stop the hurt now. And now with the baby shower over, I didn't have as much to keep me busy. I was almost bored with everything. My acting had died down a bit and my time was spent with Cher or Danielle, if they weren't busy.

Cher had swelled up like a balloon, though. She didn't gain weight everywhere, just her belly. It was huge. At first glance, you'd think she was having twins.

And speaking of Cher, at the moment we were munching on some pizza, curled up in front of my television. We'd been gossiping about the latest rumors for her "baby daddy", and this time some tabloid suspected a guy that had been featured in one of her music videos. This had us cackling, because apparently the guy was a huge douche. Just wanted the money.

The tabloids had more and more rumors each day; lately they'd been focused on the guys. We didn't really know why, but it was entertaining.

"Look, look!" I exclaimed, pointing to the screen on my laptop. "Guess who's pregnant!" I placed a hand on my stomach sarcastically and we both laughed.

"Oh, for the fourth time this year?" Cher feigned shock. "Congratulations!" The tabloids were purely pathetic.

Our conversation ceased, though, as the program came back on. It was an interview of sorts.

The reporters asked routine questions. 'How's tour been going?' 'What's your favorite country so far?' 'How's Mallory or Danielle?' It was typical gossip. And, as always, they answered cheekily with smiles on their faces.

"Ooh, Mal, the baby!" Cher suddenly squealed from beside me. I turned to her with an eyebrow raised. "He's kicking!" She grabbed my wrist and gently placed my hand onto her stomach. I felt the slight thumping against her stomach and a smile found its way onto my face.

"That's amazing," My soft voice was almost unheard by her. She laughed the slightest bit, then turned to face the television once again.

Eventually, we bid our goodnights, and she made the short walk back to her house. As I glanced at the clock, I saw it was our normal time for a Skype call. Like clockwork, I heard the sound of an incoming call.

"Well, hello there," I grinned at the camera once my favorite face appeared on the screen.

"God, I needed to talk to you," He grumbled. It wasn't hard to tell he wasn't happy. My eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.

"What's up?" I asked, biting my bottom lip. He let out a long breath before looking down.

"Just...pissed off is all," He muttered. "Security's driving me insane, I can't do anything, it's fucking annoying,"

"They're just protecting you," I offered. He just laughed.

"Whatever, whatever," His hand waved dismissively. "How has your day been, babe?"

"Fine, I just watched my favorite band have an interview on the telly," I replied with a smirk and he laughed.

"And how were they?" He asked with an identical smirk. "I heard that Louis guy is pretty hot,"

"He's alright," I shrugged as a playful smile formed on my lips. "But that Zayn guy, he's hot stuff,"

"What about that Zayn guy?" Zayn's voice called from somewhere around Lou. We both bursted into laughter and Louis attempted to explain.

We talked for nearly half an hour before Lou came rushing in to get them ready. After we said goodbye, I just let the dogs out one last time before making my way to take a shower. The hot water dripping down my back felt nice, and the aching from missing Louis was momentarily aided.

As I stepped out, the steam fogged up the room. My finger ran through the foggy mirror, creating a funny face, as I laughed to myself.

The dogs pranced around my feet as I pulled some pajamas on. They hopped up into bed with me as I went. I had allowed them to sleep with, so I could be less lonely at night. It had kind of worked.

My eyes slowly drifted shut, and I drifted off into a dream.

My foot anxiously tapped against the tiled floor of the airport. The room around the terminal was empty. The baggage claims were running, but nobody stood around me. Nobody was hastily running to catch a flight. It was dead silent.

"Mallory?" It was Louis' voice.

I ran towards the sound, and he repeated my name again. My pace just picked up. Then I saw him, standing there at the end of a long hallway.

My feet started moving as quickly as they could, I was just desperate to feel his touch. I craved him.

But it seemed, as I moved closer, he just got farther away. He continued to yell my name, until I just gave up. I was out of breath and he was farther away than ever.

"I love you!" I called to him, and it seemed to echo.

But he responded, and that made me go on. This time, as my pace picked up, he didn't get farther away.

I was so close to him, I could almost smell his amazing scent. My arms reached out to finally hug him. To kiss him like I had been waiting to.

My arms stretched out and I was almost touching him.

"I love-"

The phone ringing beside me caused me to shoot up in bed. My eyes flickered to the clock, it was nearly two in the morning. Then, my eyes moved down to the caller I.D.

"Hello?" I groggily said into the line.

"Mallory?" Cher's voice spoke from the other side. It was frantic.

"Yeah?" A sigh escaped through my lips tiredly.

"My water just broke,"
