Bandit's POV

Lifeless suffering is how I'd describe this. I wiped the tears from my cheeks and went into the kitchen to the phone. I dialed the number.

"Hello?" A voice said.

"Hi, is Gerard there?" I asked.

"One second," It was his mom.

"Hello?" It was Gerard.

"Hey," I choked out trying to sound happy.

"Bandit!" He cheered.

"I can't with this place, I miss you so much," I told him.

"Mikey and I miss you more, how is it there?" He said.

"Okay, I guess I've met two people, one works at the gas station and one's my neighbor," I said.

"They nice?" He asked.

"Well I don't know if the gas station dude is nice, but my neighbor seems cool, I'm going to a party on Friday at his house," I explained.

"Good, make some friends! How's the asshole treating you?" He asked.

"Horribly," I replied blankly.

"What'd he do to you?" He asked, I could hear anger in his voice.

"Usual thing, just happened actually," I said trying to be quiet.

"I'm gonna come out there and kill him. I thought it'd stop, I mean he stopped for a while," he said.

"Don't do anything stupid, and don't be ridiculous it won't stop till I'm out of here," I told him.

"You have got to stop letting this slide over like he's just being an ass stepdad. Even though he does that too," he said.

"I have a feeling he either won't stop or just make it worse," I told him.

"Please, next time try to get out of the house. And don't hurt yourself again, just because I'm not there doesn't mean you can fall again," he said.

"What am I going to do without you?" I sighed and wiped away a few more tears.

"I don't know what I'm gonna do without you, jeez you're across the damn country! Something worse can happen to you or me and we won't have each other," He exhaled.

"I know and I don't know what's gonna happen," I ended up crying.

"Anytime you need me call me," he said.

"I will but we're in different time zones now!" I pointed out.

"I don't care if it's 4am or noon," he said.

"Same goes to you, I'm always... here," I told him.

"Love you," He said.

"Love you too, say hi Mikey for me," I told him.

"Got it, adios," he assured me.

"Hasta luego," I mocked and hung up the phone.

I ran upstairs and locked the door forcing myself not to go back to my old habits. Gerard is the only person I'll ever trust with my past. He knows what my asshole stepdad has been doing for years because my mother can't please him. He knows how I used to be. He knows what my old habits were. He was there for everything. And now... he's across the country.
