Billie's POV
2 months later

Friday night. Alone in my room again. I gave up on trying to write songs. I felt useless without my guitar. I forgot to have Bandit take my acoustic so that's sitting in my mom's room. At least Blue is safe though.

"Billie Joe!" I heard my sister.

I got up and went into the kitchen. "What?" I asked blankly.

"Report card," she held up a letter.

"Let me see," I said and she handed me the letter. I broke the seal and pulled out the paper. Third semester overall average, 83.47. "Eighty three," I smiled at Anna.

"No way," she grabbed the paper. "Holy shit BJ! That's great! You're math grade is the greatest but you're passing everything," she hugged me.

"I know," I smiled.

"Look at the first quarters," she laughed. "you got a freaking fifty!"

"Be quiet," I told her.

"Gotta show ma," she said.

"Yeah, hopefully she believes it," I sighed.

"I'll go wake her up," she ran upstairs.

"If she gets mad it's on you!" I called after her.

A few minutes later Anna walked back down. "She's gonna show the Jerk later," she told me.

"So I'm still stuck here?" My face dropped.

"Yeah, they probably won't let up though," she set the paper on the table.

"I know, I know. I'll be in my room," I trudged away. I fell back on my bed and grabbed a ball from my nightstand and continued to throw it up in the air.

Bandit, Mike, and Tré are probably having so much fun. It's warming up outside slowly so they can hang out on the beach longer. Or they can stay at Christie Road later than usual. They're probably at Gilman having a hell of a time. Or they're at a party getting stoned beyond belief. Or they're just sitting at Tré's smoking and hanging out.

Then there's me, stuck at home all alone. It's been two moths since I've done anything. I felt like I was losing my mind. I am bored of being bored. I am tired of being tired.

All I want to do is anything. I don't even mind if I have to be home at a certain time. I just need a little time.

I heard a knock at my window. I shot up and saw Bandit. I ran over and opened the window. She started to talk but I immediately grabbed her and kissed her.

"Okay then," she laughed when she pulled away.

"Sorry," I told her.

"It's okay you just got me a little by surprise there," she smiled.

"I miss you," I hugged her.

"I miss you too," she kissed my cheek as we broke the hug. "Willing to sneak out?"

"I'd love to but they go on patrols at night," I rolled my eyes. They come in her every few hours and wake me up because they know I'll jump right out the window.

"Ah Beej that sucks," she sighed.

"Tell me about it, what're you up to?" I asked.

"Sitting in my room doing nothing is now my plan," she nodded.

"What about Mike and Tré?"

"Tré is going out with Lisea and Mike met some girl," she explained.

"Oh yeah Mike told me he met someone?" I nodded.

"Yeah," she shrugged, "I'll talk to you later I guess. Do you have phone access yet?"

"No," I leaned on the window sill.

"Ugh," she groaned.

"I miss you," I told her.

"I miss you more," she ran her fingers through my hair.

"Lies," I argued.

"Think what you want," she shook her head.

"Hopefully my parents will let it go soon, I'll see you Monday. It's too far away," I whined.

"I know," she gave me a sad look.

"Bye," I pulled her into a hug.

"Bye," she said nestling her face into my shoulder. I turned my head and kissed the top of her head. We pulled away from the hug and she grabbed my hands and kissed me. I gave her a weak smile as she walked away.

I shut my window and looked over and saw my sister in my doorway. "Poor lover boy," she shook her head.

"Don't tell mom," I sighed.

"I won't," she walked away.

I got up and grabbed my notebook. I pulled the pencil from the side of it and began writing lyrics.

Bandit's POV

I walked home and went in the door. "Oh here she is," my mom said and held out the phone. "It's your father."

I immediately grabbed the phone, "Dad?"

"Hey kiddo, how's it going?" He said.

"I'm well how's Jersey?" I asked.

"Same old, same old. Thought give you a call now that I found your damn number! Jeez you trying to hide or something?" He laughed.

"No," I laughed.

"I ran into Gerard and Mike the other day, they said you should be heading over here next month," he said.

"Yeah, I'll stop by and see ya," I told him.

"Great, good talking to you," he said.

"You too dad. Love ya," I said.

"I love you too honey I'll see you when you get here," he replied.

"Yep, bye," I said.

"Bye," I heard him say as I hung up the phone.

"Where were you?" John asked.

"On a walk," my tone dropped.

"Where's Billie been? He dump you?" He asked.

"Billie's grounded," I answered.

"Why's that?" My mom cut in.

"He had to get his grades up," I told her.

"Oh, how're his grades?" She asked.

"They were bad earlier this year but they're getting better now. I've been helping him out in quiet study," I explained.

"Cool, I was thinking about inviting his parents over for dinner next week," she said.

"Just his parents or him too?" I asked.

"Well him too," she said.

"Okay," I nodded trying to hide my smile. "I'll be upstairs." I ran upstairs and felt emotionally conflicted.

I'm happy. Billie will actually be able to come over for a few hours next week, possibly. I'll get to see my dad, Gerard, and Mikey next month.

I'm upset. I don't have Billie for what feels like forever. Mike and Tré are busy. So now I'm alone.

I grabbed Blue and plugged it into my small amp. I turned the volume down so I didn't get yelled at. I put the guitar back in tune since Billie has to be complicated and keep it tuned a half step down in E flat.

I ran through a couple of songs I knew. I'm partial to my acoustic. I'm better at writing with it. I turned off the amp and set Blue on the stand. I picked up my acoustic and played a few of my songs. I'm gonna be stuck like this all night.
