1 month later
Billie's POV"We should go to Gilman tomorrow," I said to Bandit.
"Finally, I've been wanting to go for over a month now!" She said through the cloud of smoke. We were sitting on her window sill facing each other with our knees touching.
"Can you pass me another one?" I asked.
"Here," she handed me a cigarette.
"Thanks," I nodded.
"So, are you and the boys going to homecoming?" She asked.
"Yeah," I sighed.
"What's so wrong with homecoming?" She looked at me.
"People," I answered blankly.
"Other than that! Come on, dances are fun," she said.
"I'll go, I'm just not gonna have fun," I shrugged.
"I will make sure you do!" She was very determined.
"Fine, if I have the time of my life I will give you... umm... I'll buy you burritos for a month," I came up with.
"Deal!" She held out her hand.
"Deal," I agreed and shook her hand.
"Better have your coins saved," she blew smoke in my face.
"Thanks," I cleared the cloud since we were trying to avoid smoke in the room. "So where's the asshole?"
"He's probably out, probably cheating on my mother," she said looked out at the road.
"You seem relieved," I said.
"If he is... my mo will find out and boom DIVORCE!" She smiled.
"If all goes well," I pointed out.
"Well something good needs to happen," she said.
We continued smoking on her window sill. I continued staring at her in a daze as she looked out at the street. She was so beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at her. She was still wearing my sweatshirt she 'borrowed' last month. I don't care if I ever get it back.
I put my hand on hers that was resting on her knee. She looked over at me and flashed a smile, which I returned.
"Anything we can do?" She asked me.
"What do you mean?" I snapped out of my thoughts.
"I'm not gonna sit here smoking all night, anything we can do?" She repeated.
"Uh, I don't know. Beach? Mike? Tré? Grocery store?" I laughed at the last one.
"How about all," she said.
"All?" I asked.
"Yeah, we get Mike and Tré, go to the grocery store and get food, then go hang out on the beach," she suggested.
"Great," I nodded.
"Alright, uh, hand me that water bottle," she said. I reached back to the nightstand and handed her the plastic bottle. She immediately chucked it at the window across from the one we were sitting in.
A few seconds later Tré opened it. "Bandita!" He shouted over.
"Food and beach! You in?!" She called over.
"Fuck yeah, see you losers at the car!" He said before shutting the window.
"Let's go," she grinned. We got off the window and I grabbed my keys. We ran downstairs and hopped in the car. I drove, Bandit took shot gun and Tré was in the back. "Off to get Mike!" Bandit said as I backed out of the driveway.
