Bandit's POV
I finished off my eyeshadow. Before continuing my makeup and examined it making sure I was proud. I am proud. I put on eyeliner, except I actually made this line thin and neat. Then I finished off with mascara and red lipstick.
I put the finishing touches on my curled hair. Then I went into my room and put on the dress. I wore sheer black tights and dark blue flats to match the dress. I looked in the mirror and smoothed out the dress. I look pretty good. I'm proud of my hair and make up. At least I don't look like a prostitute, well in my eyes I don't.
"Honey, you're friends are here!" My mom yelled to me from downstairs.
"Coming!" I answered. I took my vinyl off the turntable and back in the sleeve. Time to go! I hope they play good music. I walked downstairs and saw the boys and their parents are here. Oh this should be interesting.
"Whoa," I heard Billie say softly.
"That's a short dress," John commented. I still wish he left when I hit him with that rock. I glared at him and all the adults in the room started laughing.
"I think you look beautiful," Tré announced.
"Oh you think? I didn't know you had a brain up there," I patted his cheek. That caused his mom and dad to continue laughing.
"Hi Bandit, we haven't met yet I'm Michael's mom," a woman held out her hand.
"Hi, nice to meet you," I smiled.
"Do you guys want pictures?" My mom asked.
"Yes," the four of us said in unison. We spend way to much time together.
"Ooh, let me get my camera!" I began running back upstairs. I grabbed my crappy little tourist camera then ran back downstairs. "Here," I handed it to my mom.
"This is your camera?" She laughed.
"Yes, we've documented the past month on it, it's running out of film though," I told her.
"You need a real camera," Billie's mom said.
"I'm hoping that'll be my Christmas present," I then looked at my stepdad.
"Okay you four get together," my mom said holding the camera up.
"We should be in height order," Mike suggested.
"Yes!" I agreed. It went Mike, Billie, me, and Tré was supposed to be last be he tried to get on the other side of Mike. Billie and I laughed then Mike pushed Tré next to me. We smiled and the flash went off and captured our little moment.
~
I'm so happy we snuck Tré in. He's so much fun. I already knew this but he's just so much fun. Billie and Mike and being losers and doing nothing while Tré and I are dancing like idiots. I don't care how stupid we look, this is to much fun.
The music wasn't that great but we didn't care. We were jumping around. Spinning each other. Doing the tango. We probably look psychotic.
"I'll be right back," I told Tré.
"Okay, I'll be with Buzzkill One and Two," he nodded to Billie and Mike leaning against the wall.
I ran up the gym floor to the dj table. "Can I request a few things?" I asked.
"What do you got in mind?" He leaned forward so he could hear me.
"Maybe some David Bowie, The Clash, Ramones, Queen, The Sex Pistols, and Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Come On Eileen," I listed off.
"That's a bit much, but you got good taste girl I'll try to get most of that in," he said.
"Thanks so much," I smiled and walked away. I made my way to the back of the gym and stood next to Billie, "You look so depressed!"
"I'm overly bored! You promised fun and I've been watching you and Tré for the past hour," he said.
"Because you just need to come out there and dance with us! It isn't hard," I told him.
"Do I look like the kind of person that can dance?"
"It's not real dancing you nimrod, it's jumping for the most part," I started to get annoyed. He's just doing this so he doesn't have to buy me burritos.
"I'm not looking like a fool," he shook his head. I let out an annoyed sigh then the song ended and changed to Should I Stay Or Should I Go.
"Well you're gonna look like a fool," I grabbed his hands. I pulled him out onto the gym floor and started dancing while he just stood in front of me. "Darling you go to let me know," I started singing the lyrics.
"Should I stay or should I go?" Billie returned.
"If you say that you are mine," I continued.
"I'll be here till the end of time," Billie sang and pulled me close to him.
"Should I stay or should I go?" I jumped back.
I guess his form of dancing with me is singing back and forth with me, then just standing there holding my hand as I dance. I was fine with the singing part, me and Tré have been doing that almost the whole time.
"So, if you want me off your back," I sang, ha perfect line, if Billie wants me off his back he should try to dance.
"Well, come on and let me know," he's actually moving! We're making progress here!
"Should I stay or should I go?!" We both shouted. Now we're getting somewhere but to make sure he doesn't chicken out of the fun chorus... I grabbed both of his hands and started spinning us really fast. We started laughing and continued it through the chorus.
~
"Are you having fun?!" I cheered in between songs.
"I am, you're very close to winning," he told me.
"Yes!" I jumped. The guy hasn't played anything else I requested in the past hour! Come on I really want this shit played! Another slow song came. For the last two Billie and I went and drank punch or Tré waltzed with me.
"Okay pretty boy come here," I said and held my arms out.
"I feel so privileged," he joked as we started mimicking other couples. We stood there for a a few awkward moments then he broke the silence. "So how's life?"
"It's quite interesting actually, I spend everyday of it with the same dude," I replied.
"Tell me about this 'dude'," he went on.
I looked up into his eyes and started to describe him since we both knew I meant him. "Well he's a crazy one. He doesn't like school whatsoever but he's in this kickass band. He plays guitar and sings, he has an amazing voice," I began to get lost in his eyes and I started babbling on and on about him to him, "he's my rock basically, I always tell him everything I can. He's a pothead but that kinda works out for me. He always keeps me entertained. He's a pain in my ass but I love him to pieces. He's like my favorite person in the world..."
"Bandit..." he breathed.
I cleared my throat, "so how about you? Anyone special?" I continued our dumb little thing.
"I met this girl over the summer and she's become my center of attention," he smiled and looked down. And he's talking about me. I'm his center of attention?!
"Oooh, tell me about her," I said.
"She's unlike any girl I've ever met. She isn't out for sex or drugs even though she smokes all the time." I grinned at that, "she's incredible with music even though she won't admit it. She tries to keep me out of trouble, even though we just end up causing trouble. She's told me so much about her yet she's still a mystery to me. It's uhhh... uhh hard for me to tell her how I feel sometimes."
I realized was blushing uncontrollably with a quirky grin on my face. I've never heard him express his feelings like this ever. I kissed him on the cheek. He then pulled me closer to him and connected our foreheads. I was tempted to kiss him then and there but not here...
