+++++++ Cole's POV ++++++++
I looked all over the house for Kenzie and couldn't find her anywhere. After a half hour of looking i decided just to ask someone. Her aunt was sitting in the kitchen working on her lap top. Ive only been here a day and from what I've seen she's usually in her office or on the deck doing work. She's a very busy woman but she has such a huge heart.
Kenzie has never brought up her parents, nor has anyone else. I knew better than to pry but i still couldn't help but be curious. I shouldn't care because i never have about anyone else but Kenzie just keeps wiggling get way in.
"Sorry to bother you Bonnie, but have you seen Kenzie around?"
She paused what she was doing and glanced up at me. "If shes not in the house try the waterfall."
"Thanks." I started walking to the door before Bonnie spoke again.
"Cole" i turned around noticing the stern look she has on her face. "If you hurt Kenzie you will regret it."
I didn't know what to say but i knew she was serious. I nodded my head and darted outside. Once i was in the shed I jumped on a dirt bike and took off down the trail in the woods. I'd never been to the waterfall but the guys had told me about it the first day i was here. After ten minutes i could hear moving water and started to slow down. I parked the bike next to a identical purple already there.
Wandering towards the ledge i noticed a pile of clothes on the bank. It didn't take me long to spot Kenzie floating around in the water with her eyes closed. She looked absolutely beautiful and peaceful floating around on her back. I didn't want to disturb her so i just slipped my shoes off and dangled my feet in the water watching her. She wore a dark purple, glittery bikini. I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her whole body was toned and tan.
As i sat there i lost track of time and contemplated what was going through her mind. It felt like an hour had passed when she climbed out. She never said anything and sat beside me letting the water slowly drip off of her.
She's usually sassy and hostile so i just sat and enjoyed quietly being in her presence. I wanted to kick my self for putting in so much effort to be with a girl. The more i kept telling my self she wasn't worth it, the more the voice in the back of my head whispered yes she is.
"Did you need something?" She shook me out of my thoughts and i turned to face her. Kenzies hair hung wet and braided across one shoulder. I never noticed her braid it.
Nervously I scratched the back of my head. "Uh no I-I just hadn't seen you in a couple hours so.."
God i wanted to kick myself for sounding like a bumbling idiot. Girls never make me nervous. Ugh.
"Yeah sure, you keep telling your self that." She laughed.
"Hey it's true! I wanted to make sure you hadn't drown or something!" I couldn't help but defend my self. Couldn't have her thinking I wanted to simply be around her.
"Its your story hunny, tell it however you want." She had a giant smirk on her face.
"Calling me a liar?" I cocked a brow waiting for her response. She turned her back and headed towards the dirt bike.
"Yup!"
Without thinking i ran over and scooped her up and jumped into the water fully clothed before she could protest. The moment her head popped out of the water she jumped on me trying to drown me. I was in between laughing and choking on water. Surprisingly the water was warm for mid September. Eventually she gave up and frowned at me seeing I wasn't drowning. I glanced down and the position we were in. Her toned legs were wrapped around my waist and her chest was pressed up against mine. My hands sat on her hips holding her in place. I met her gaze and she tensed up and turned bright red. It took everything in me not to tuck her hair behind her ear and kiss her. If only she knew how hot and bothered i was right now. I've never wanted a girl this damn bad and it drove me crazy.
She pushed herself away from me abruptly and got out of the water. I watched her as she put her shorts on. The emotion on her face was un readable. I didn't know if I had done something wrong or not. Climbing out of the water i pulled my shirt off and rung it out the best i could. We silently got back on the bikes and drove back to the house.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully and before i knew it, it was the next morning and we were packing to leave.
We said our goodbyes to everyone and headed out the front door. I threw our bags in her car and slid into the passenger seat.
I glanced over at her and she smiled briefly.
"Ready for the 23 hour drive?""As ready as I'll ever be." I said smiling back at her. I wouldn't even go on this long of a trip with Grant or Quinn, but here i am with a girl i barely know.
