Recap:
"You're moving in with me." I simply said while I get inside my private elevator.
"Are you crazy? I don't even know you." She argued, not bothering to get inside the elevator.
I held the door open.
"Do you want to stay in your place with Theo right next door?" I challenged her.
"It doesn't mean that I have to live with you." She reasoned.
"Look, I understand your apprehension. I assure you this is your safest option. I'm doing this because I wouldn't be able to forgive myself should something happen to you." I can see the disbelief in her face. Still doubting my intentions.
"It's not like we will be living alone. Rose would always be there with you. While I spend most of my time at work. You'd hardly even see me." I hope this would work. I don't know what else can I do to convince her - except to tell her the truth.

Adrienne's POV:
I can't believe I bought his story.
I'm stuck here in his penthouse since yesterday, when he forcefully brought me here. Atleast he didn't lie when he said that I'd hardly see him. I'm starting to ask myself if he really lives here. Because after he brought me to his place, he showed me the room I'll be occupying then left. I didn't see him for the rest of the day. Neither did I see him this morning.
Rose helped me get settled by placing my neatly folded clothes in the closet. It feels weird seeing that big a closet with just so little clothes. It didn't even occupy a quarter of that huge space.
The closet is nothing compared to the rest of the room. The room looks bright. It was huge and as expected everything looks and feels expensive. Mostly, it has cream and white colors, with teal as an accent.
The focal point of the room was the king size bed. Above the headboard was an abstract painting by a famous artist.
What took my breath away was the amazing view from this very room. Just like Mr. Rossi's, this room has a glass wall overlooking New York Skyscrapers. It also has a balcony. If I'm not mistaken this is a shared balcony with Pietro.
I promised not to trust people easily. Not including yesterday's event, Mr. Rossi still makes me feel safe. I know I must be going crazy for thinking this way. But right now with Theo out of prison, I need safe. He's the only one in this state that makes me feel protected.
That's what made me take his offer.
This is only temporary.
I'm still going to get a job, find another place so I can move out of here.
I quickly finished dressing up, grabbed my handbag then walked out of the door. I looked for Rose. I told her that I'm going out to look for a job. She wished me luck as I go.
As I made my way out of the lobby, I tried looking around. Where can I get a cab here? Then one of the hotel staff approached me.
