Chapter: 22 Leap of Faith

Chapter: 22

Serena's POV: 

Ezio's uncle smile as Ezio smile at me as well "I'm glad to hear that and now you can go to Florence and search for what you are looking for" 

I nodded as Ezio came over to stand in front of me "Come with me, Serena" 

He pass me as Uncle Mario did the same as we went out into the courtyard as I follow them and saw them climbing up the side of the house. I did the same as I heave myself up onto the roof as Ezio help me up a little as there was a mischievous smile on his face as I was a little nervous in what they are doing up here on the roof. I was nervous in why I had to come along with them. I follow them over to a little ledge that was sticking outwards onto the roof of the Villa. 

Ezio and Mario was standing on both sides at the edge of the roof as they indicated me to move forward onto the ledge. I was nervous as I did and look back at them as Ezio hold out his arms and I follow suit as a natural instinct flooded me. I knew what I had to do as I back up a little before jumping off the ledge and I soar downward into a pile of hay. The wind rush through my hair as I landed in the pile as I had flip in mid-air. I landed in the pile of hay on my back as I stay there for a couple of minutes of not breathing. 

I slowly sat up in the hay as I finally breath out a slow breath, before climbing out of the hay pile. I realize that Ezio and Mario had climb down the side of the house. They came over to me as I move forward to them as my legs were shaking a little. The adernaline was still running through me as I asked with a breathless excited voice "Can I do that again?"

Ezio burst out laughing as Mario did as well as I look between them as Ezio got control over his laughter "I thought you were going to be the complete opposite, but you surprised me again, Serena"

I chuckle "I was scared at first and thought you guys both have lost your minds"

Mario chuckle as well as he got control over his laughter as well "Well...we might have lost our minds a little."  

"When should we get going to Florence, Uncle?" Ezio asked.

"Now...I want you guys there before dawn. So you guys can have a full day of searching" Mario said as he look at me.

I nodded my head to him as he said "There is a present for you laying on your bed, Serena"

My eyes widen a little as I look back at Ezio to see him shrugging, but there was a secretive grin on his lips. I knew instantly that he knows what the presents is. My curiousity was burning through me as I was anxious in seeing what exactly Mario had gotten me. Why get me something when I couldn't even repay it back? I don't have money on me at all. I whispered "I can't accept a gift" 

"Of course, you can Serena" Ezio look at me with a warm smile on his face.

"I can't repay it...Ezio" I look up at him as we walk into the entrance.

"Serena...it's a gift. It's suppose to be for you. Now go up there and open it" He demanded with another warm smile on his face.

"Fine." I gave in as he chuckle. I made my way upstairs to the gift that was waiting in the room.

My heart was beating incredibly fast as I stood in front of the door to the room that belong to me now. I open the door slowly as I step into the room and look around before my eyes landed on a robe that was on the bed. I nearly gasp at the sight of it as I knew it would fit my form perfectly after I slip it on. The Assassin robe look a lot like Ezio's robe that he has on. I gently touch the soft material that lay on the bed and took off the blouse and trousers that I had on as I removed the boots from my feet.

I put the garments on as it felt loose and had an airy kind of feel to it and it felt wonderful. I slip my sword into the stash around my waist and slip my boots on that had daggers sheathe into the boots. I actually had a cape like thing on my shoulder that had armor on it. The only thing that I really don't have are the hidden blades like Ezio has. I realize that the collar was open showing a little of my bare chest and felt a little embarrassed, but I will just have to deal with it.

A sigh escape from me as I went over to the door and exit it with a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach. Ezio stood there with his arms cross over his chest as I close the door and sort of froze. I look at Ezio to see there was a smirk on his face "You look good in the Assassin's robes, Serena"

I felt my cheeks flushing before I could say anything, he walk over to me. I was nervous as he pull up my hood "You forgot one little thing, silly"

My cheeks burn from embarrassment as I murmured "Ah...I forgot all about that. I'm so relax here, that I didn't need to put my hood up"   

He chuckled "Don't worry. I do forget sometimes as well..."

I smile at him "Glad to hear that I'm not the only one"

We chuckle together as he asked "Are you ready?" 

"Of course, Ezio" I answered with a smirk of my own.

"Then let's get going, Miss Serena" He said with a smile before walking forward and I follow right behind him.  

We went out into the front of the Villa before descending the stairs to enter the town. It was still beautiful and the people were happy. I continue to follow Ezio as he took my hand and pull me to walk next to him. I look up at him a little surprise as he chuckle as he look down at me with a smile on his face. We continue to walk until we got to the main gate and went outside of the gate into the country side. Ezio lead me over to the stables as he grab one horse and gave me the reins to it. 

He grab the other set of reins and pull the other horse out of the stables. I hoist myself up onto the saddle as he did the same thing. I got myself settle as he did as well. "Let's be off, Serena" 

I nodded as he smack his horse with the reins and he made his horse go into a trot as I did the same with my horse. I follow him as we went out onto the road to head back to the town of Florence. I was nervous about returning there and I was more nervous of seeing my brother again. I haven't seen him since Venice, but that doesn't mean he could be following us right now.
