Chapter: 26

Serena's POV:

I was standing in front of the house that I had live in since I was born. It was beautiful still as it was back when I was a kid. I was completely nervous in going into my house. I look around absorbing everything that I saw. It felt kind of nice to return to a familiar place that hold many memories of my family. Before my mother told me to leave and before my father had pass away. Ezio patiently wait by my side until I was ready to go in. He knew how scare and nervous I was. I'm so happy to know that he isn't rushing me into going into my family house.

I hesitantly took a step forward as I continue hesitantly down the sidewalk with rose bushes on each side of the side walk as it led up to the manor. I continue to walk forward as Ezio follow me and once I got to the door. I took a deep breath as he gently lay his hand on the middle of my back. I look over my shoulder at him as he smile encouragingly at me. I smile back as I open the door and went into my family's house. He follow me as we continue into my house that has been empty for a while now. Everything looks the same as we had left it a very long time ago.

An aching feeling spread through my entire chest as I look around at the familiar belongings of my family. I walk down a familiar hallway that I have taken multipe times when I was a child. I went into my father's study that my mother often comes in here to relish my father's belongings. Everything was exactly the same and nobody has touch or has been in here for a while now. I forgot how everything look. It doesn't feel like home anymore... It just a place with my memories. It's empty and it has a cold feeling in here. I bet there are a million secrets that have been hid away from us. Why did my mother save me? Why didn't my brother come with? Why did he came back warning me not to come back to Florence?

There are so many un-answer questions that I would like for someone anyone just to answer them. I want to know what happen and what her purpose was. Is she alive or is my mother...? I couldn't finish the thought as it was to heart-wrenching to even cross that line. Why couldn't my brother just tell me and save me all of these questions that keep spiraling around in my mind making me almost lose my mind in the process of trying to figure everything out. It would have been helpful if he had just told me instead of not telling me.

I accidentally lend against a wall that held some trigger or something as I fell backwards with a surprise screech. I landed on the ground on my back as Ezio came running into the study room where I was. He came over to me and help me up from the ground as there was a chuckle that escape from him. "Are you okay, Serena?" He asked.

"Yes...just trigger some switch or something..." I answered while I look into the room that I came into.

"Have you known that there was a switch there or a room for that matter?" Ezio asked looking around as well.

"No, not at all." I said while looking back at him, before taking a step into the room that hold a chest. A desk with ink, feather and a couple of books on there. I look around to see the bookcases fill with books and I look over to see the chest with a weird symbol on the front. Ezio I guess was looking at me and when my eyes settle on the chest. I heard him gasp as I look over at him with a raise eyebrow.

He took my hand and lead me over to the chest "This marking is the Assassin's Creed symbol..."

"So my mother and father were Assassins..." I murmured as I look down at the symbol for my path that I have taken.

Before Ezio could say something a new voice came from the passage way spoke up "Our mother was, but my father was."

I spun around on my heels as I look at a hooded-figure standing there as the person's pull his hood down to reveal my brother standing there. He had a hard look in eyes as if he was seeing someone that was new to him. It was like he was seeing me, but in a different way. "B-brother..." I stuttered out.
