Chapter: 18

Ezio's POV:

Uncle and I walk back to the Villa as I asked him "Why couldn't I go with her?"

"Because...I'm secretly giving her permission to be on her own. And truth be told...a little taste of what Assassin's do. The beginners of course..."

"Ah...I see now. I was wondering in why you were doing the training thing with her and sending her on that errand request. Are you sure that she even wants to become an Assassin?" I asked.

"Not quite sure, but I have a hunch. The more she learns about our ways, the more that would influence her to our cause. Until then, I can only guide her and you should guide her as well, Ezio. It could give you a few pointers of having an apprentice" Uncle Mario said as he look at me with a smirk on his face.

"I'll try my best in guiding her, Uncle. I don't know how well I do, but I'll try" I said with a smile at him.

"Good to hear that then. Until she comes back I have other matters to discuss with you" Uncle Mario said as he led me further into the Villa and into his study.

"Okay. What is it that you wish to discuss, Uncle?" I asked him.

"It's about Rodrigo and Serena mix up into all of this" Uncle said as I nodded my head for him to continue onward.

Serena' s POV:

I walk down the small town as I was a little confused in where to find this Tailor shop. I pass a blacksmith and a doctor, but I didn't see any store that was a Tailor shop. A sigh escape from me as I felt hopeless in delivering this message. Maybe, I should have said something about having Ezio coming with me to deliver this message. I'm sure he knows where the Tailor shop is, but I have no clue in where to find it. I went over to a gentlemen as I asked "Excuse me, but where could I find the Tailor shop?"

"Donna, do you see I'm busy here?" The man snapped at me before I slowly walk away.

"Okay...then" I muttered before walking down a little more.

Another sigh escape from me I look around the town. It's a small town, but easily I get lost in here, because I'm unfamiliar with it. I have live in Venice almost my whole life, except for the part of living in Florence with my family. Family...my brother was alive and probably doing knows what. He said he was watching my every step. Does that mean he knows that I'm here? I don't know what to think about him watching me or not telling me about our mother. I let out a sigh, what am I going to do?

I head over onto a street as I finally spot the Tailor. Well...if I had been on this street. I would have made it here earlier and be back to spend some time with Ezio.

A sigh escape from me as I came up to the person behind the counter of the Tailor as he greeted me warmly "Well hello there miss, what can I do for you?"

"I'm only here to deliver you this letter from Mario Auditore the one that lives in the Villa. He asked me to deliver this to you..." I inform the person behind the counter.

"Why thank you, young donna that was very kind of you to do so..." He smile again as I nodded at him, before making my way back to the manor.

I wonder why Uncle Mario send me on my way to do that errand. I shrug as I walk back towards the manor with another heavy sigh. I am curious though in about this Assassin path that my mother took. I want to follow her in her footsteps, but I'm scare to even jump the gap into accepting it. What will happen if I do? Will it help me save my mother? I don't honestly know...but I'm sure whatever is in store and make the right decision that something will happen and for the better good of course.

I made it back to the manor as I was exhausted from the training that I went through this morning with Ezio's Uncle. I still felt sore from falling onto the ground multiple of times and I let out a sigh. I wonder what Ezio is doing... I went into the Villa's entrance as I look around not seeing anyone. I went over to the door that will lead into Mario's study. I heard voices coming from inside. I slowly and quietly went over to the door and slowly peek around it to see Ezio and Mario standing there talking.

My ears pick up what they were saying "Rodrigo needs to be stop at all cost, Ezio. Once we get everything settle once more and you collect those Codex pages we can see about you going to Roma to complete your assignment."

"Okay...so what about Serena then?" Ezio asked as I felt warm that he was concern for me.

"She can come along on your journey as well, but she needs to be train properly...Rodrigo will try anything just to keep you away, Ezio" Uncle Mario said with a sigh that escape from him.

"Then I shouldn't take her along if he tries something with her..." Ezio said as I heard a protective note in his voice.

"That man has taken many things away from her as well as you, Ezio. Either way...as I can see it. She is wrap up in this as much as you are. Well you chose to be part of this and to get revenge on the man who murder your father and brothers" Uncle Mario said.

"Yes...but she hasn't chosen to be an Assassin yet like me, Uncle." Ezio protested.

"Yes...I know. Soon her path will be recognizable to her and no one can tell her what path to take. It's her own choice to do so and if she does then that is okay. If she doesn't well...that is still okay. It's her own choice to become an Assassin or not, not someone else's choice, but her own" Uncle Mario explain.

Ezio let out a sigh as I felt a smile working it's way onto my face. I think it's time to go in now. I took a deep breath before I enter the study and they both turn their heads through me. "I have finish the request, Mario"

"Good job and thank you, Serena" Mario said with a smile.

I nodded back "You're welcome"

"Serena...how long were you standing outside of the door?" Ezio asked me.

I felt my body froze, but I lied smoothly "Not very long..."

Ezio only narrow his eyes as Mario chuckled "Oh Ezio...if she heard what we were talking about...she would be asking questions"

He has no idea that I'm already wanting to ask him questions about everything. I hold my tongue still as I nodded again before walking out of the study room. Now I felt the guilt gnawing at me for lying to Ezio. I let out a sigh as I walk back up to the room that I was in earlier. I felt my muscles were still sore from morning training. Another sigh escape from me as I lay down on the bed and felt exhausted from the training I did this morning.

I close my eyes and fell into a restless slumber...
