Chapter: 40 Recon Mission

Chapter: 40

Serena's POV: 

I was sitting on the sofa that Leonardo had gotten for his main room. I'm guessing he wanted to be close to his work. I have notice a painting in the corner of his room and it look beautiful. A smile play across my lips as Ezio was sitting next to me and I look back over at Leonardo who was now taking a break from working so hard. Ezio and I were discussing about what to do and how to go forth in getting the Rodrigo- my father. I felt disgusted to be even related to that man, but there is no way of changing the past. I can always change my future and make it better... 

Leonardo murmured "I did hear that he was in town...Ezio" 

Ezio turn his head to look at him as he asked "Where?" 

Leonardo answered "He is on the side of Venice where the plaza is and where the dances are held there...he will be farther out" 

I murmured "Then we shall get to work on a plan then..." 

Ezio said "We will have to be careful as well. He is extremely dangerous in every way" 

We both nodded to him as Leonardo said "I will help in anyway that I can, Ezio" 

Ezio nodded to him "Yes, I know and thank you, Leonardo"

"Anytime, Ezio" Leonardo nodded his head to Ezio. 

"I suggest that we find him and get rid of his guards before doing anything first and tracking him down to where he is" I said after a few minutes of silence. 

Ezio nodded his head "That sounds good. Well, see what he is up to, before doing anything" 

I nodded as Leonardo murmured "Let me adjust your equipment before going..." 

He got up and went over to his desk as Ezio stood up and hold his hand out for me. I took it as he help me up from sitting down to stand on my own two feet. He lean down to place a gentle kiss upon my lips. A warm smile bloom over my lips as I look up at him as he smile down at me as well. He murmured in my ear "I love you, Serena" 

I whispered "I love you too, Ezio" 

Leonardo comes back over and puts a few smoke bombs in one of my pockets that I didn't know I had on me. He stuck some in Ezio's pockets as well and then put daggers in each of our slots that we had. "There...well protected and an escape plan all into one" Leonardo murmured smiling. 

"Thank you, Leonardo" I smile warmly at him. 

"Anytime, Serena" Leonardo smile at me. 

Ezio murmured "Shall we get going then, Serena?" 

I nodded my as I took his hand in mine "Yes, Ezio" 

"Take care you too and I shall see both of you sooner than later" Leonardo smile at both us.

We were hopping from roof to roof as we were racing along them while avoiding the roof guards at the same time. I was worry and I was nervous as ever about finally facing my father. He took everything away from me and now he is going to pay the price of that. What am I going to do? How am I going to face the person that had took everything away from me? The longs years of not being by my sibling side and by my mother's side. He had her this whole time and ruin my brother's view of me. 

I look over at Ezio to see he was facing forward, surveying the area as we came to a stop on top of a roof. We look around as the area was dark shadow by the sun setting low behind the horizon. I saw guards posted at two entrances and I notice two archers up on the rooftops. I notice the water next to posts that had rope to keep people from falling into the water. I took notice of the gondolas sitting there floating with nobody on them. I look across the water to see the other side of Venice and the port. We were on the opposite of where people boarded the ships to set sail. I was confused. 

Why would my father be here? Why not over by the harbor? This doesn't make any sense... 

Ezio grab my hand gently in his hand as I look over at him. He lean in and kiss my cheek softly. I heard his words in my ear as I felt his lips moving "It's okay, Serena. We will stop him...for now, we will watch and see what he is planning" 

I nodded my head "Okay" 

He kiss my cheek one more time before pointing to a dark silhouette slinking in the shadows before coming out into the area where we could actually see him. My heart seem to stop in my chest as I could never get use to the dreaded feeling that comes from seeing the man that is my father. He had two guards on both sides of him. My memories came through my mind making me remember everything that he had done. He destroy everything...ruin everyone's lives...he is nothing, but a horrible man that needs to be stop. 

I will make sure he is stop, I will not quit until I see my father speaking his last words on the floor. The anger inside of me kept building as I watch the man move around on the ground. He stop just as another man came to him. They began to speak as I could hear them talking, my father was saying "Yes, This is the place where I want to meet. It's quiet and secluded from the people" 

The person nodded "Very well, then we shall meet here again tomorrow. We can begin our plan then, Rodrigo" 

I could see the smirk spreading across Rodrigo's face as he said "Make sure you'll get what I want for tomorrow" 

The person nodded once more before taking his leave and I was confused in what he could want. I don't understand, what could he be up to? Ezio seem to freeze next to me and I look over at him. He didn't look my way and I place my hand on his shoulder "Ezio...what's the matter?" 

Ezio look over at me placing his hand on top of mine "He wants you..." 

"He will never have me, Ezio" I murmured softly. 

Ezio's lips found mine as I wrap my arms around him as his arms came around me with our lips moving together.  I knew deep down inside of me that he was scared of losing me. I was scared of losing him and the only way to stop from feeling like this- is to kill the man for everything he had done. 

We will stop him once and for all...

I apologize for taking so long to update, but I did say that all of my stories were putting on hold. The only reason why I'm doing that is because I'm going back in and editing my stories. Every single one and so I hope my readers can forgive me for taking a long time to do it. It's hard to find time right now, I have been busy lately. I'm not so much now and I will try my hardest to hurry up with the editing so I can get back to writing my stories that you guys love. But thank you guys so much for reading my story.
