26 - THEM

Nervously he left his apartment, his dog by his side. He knew she loved his dog so he decided to take him with him.

Arriving a little earlier than planned he sat down on a bench. His dog jumped on his lap and he petted him for a while. It was calming to pet his fluffy furr and he got lost in his thoughts, thinking about what to tell her.

Since she gave it to him, he had not taken the ring off his hand once. Okay he did, but only to shower because he was afraid of ruining it if he would shower with it.

Confused as she didn't come he looked at his clock. It was 3:30. Did she miss her bus?

Suddenly feeling heavy-hearted he opened Instagram. For a second the world seemed to stop. She had deleted her account? Why? What had happened?

Shocked he went on Snapchat and then wanted to cry. She had not added him back yet. 

But what if she was really just late?

Tears in his eyes started to well up but he fought them back and decided to wait for her.

He waited.

And waited.

His puppy started crying because it grew impatient.

But still, he waited.

She was the most amazing, beautiful person he had ever met and he had hurt her. It was the least he could do: wait for her.

At the same time he felt sorry for his dog that was looking at him pleadingly. 

It got darker and darker. 

Suddenly he couldn't control himself anymore and he tears started falling down.

Now it was 7pm.

Had he really hurt her that much? To an extent where she would delete her Instagram account? Did she really just stand him up? 

Maybe it was the thing he deserved. After lying. 

He could have just been honest.

He went home, his heart aching, the tears still falling and his hands shaking.

Because his puppy had suffered enough, sitting around on a bench for four hours he fed him something extra tasty that day and after letting him out for the last time on that day he fell onto his bed, bawling his eyes out.

At the end of the day, he should have seen it coming.

A lie always ends with someone being hurt.

In this case, both were hurt. The person who lied and the person being lied to.

A phone call woke him up the next morning and he ignored it. It was Changbin but he didn't feel like talking at all.

Again, he went on Instagram, re-reading their chat.

Why had she agreed to meeting him in the first place, if she didn't want to come?

Because he had to, he ignored his own feelings and went to work. He really had to work, people would be mad if he just stopped. But also, he couldn't completely hide his feelings so he shortly explained it before finishing. 

After being done with his work he went on Instagram again.

He furrowed his brows when he saw that someone he didn't follow wanted to send him a chat.

jackthenoodle: hey

king-of-dabbing: hello? do we know each other?

Strange. Why was this guy suddenly texting him?

jackthenoodle: I know this sounds weird but y/n has surely talked about me in the past. I'm Channie, her friend.

king-of-dabbing: if you're here to tell me I'm a bad person: I know. thanks. now please leave me alone

jackthenoodle: dude

jackthenoodle: it's not how it looks like

king-of-dabbing: what do you mean by that?

jackthenoodle: she actually wanted to go and meet you

king-of-dabbing: what do you mean?

jackthenoodle: her mother found out and took her phone away, deleted her account etc out of fear of you being some old pedophile

king-of-dabbing: ???

jackthenoodle: she's devastated that she can't talk to you anymore

king-of-dabbing: thank you... but why are you telling me this? I thought you liked her? 

jackthenoodle: because I like her

jackthenoodle: and she is sad because of this

jackthenoodle: and dude you better fix this

jackthenoodle: I never want to see her that sad again

jackthenoodle: she really seems to love you so you better fix all of this and make her happy

He was speechless for a few seconds. So she didn't stand you up on purpose? You felt better all of a sudden.

king-of-dabbing: thank you. really. thank you

jackthenoodle: I'll help you but still you need to fix this on your own

king-of-dabbing: I honestly have no words for you right now. Thank you so much!

jackthenoodle: I'm not doing it for you, don't thank me. I'm doing it for her. 

king-of-dabbing: I know but still just thank you...

jackthenoodle: :)

So maybe we'll have a happy ending! I hate sad endings lol

Did you have a nice New Years Eve? The fireworks were sooo amazing where I live I'm still shook and so thankful that people did that.

Also thank you for 38k reads... Like... I don't get... how??? I guess SK fanbase is growing haha. Makes me happy though because they deserve all the love!

I'm actually preparing a new story as this will end in about 4 chapters so I just wanted to ask, do you guys prefer boyxboy like Changlix or girlxboy? Also I'm having many ideas that all differ concept wise. I'm actually torn between doing something fantasy like, something like highschool stuff or chatting... aaah xD
