Part 3 (Tears)

Even though Natsu was a member of Fary Tail, he never interacted with the other members as both Makarov and Porlyusica had hoped he would. The only exceptions were Y/n and Wendy. Who he occasionally went on quests with.

However, once in a while, two specific members tended to interact with him. The first one was the Fairy Queen Titania otherwise known as Erza Scarlet, and the other one was Gray Fulbuster, the ice mage of Fairy Tail. Both of them seemed to have issues with the dragon prince, but for different reasons.

Erza didn't like his aloof and apathetic attitude, and had on several occasions demanded him to quit the guild as he did not possess the guild's spirit, as she put it. While Gray, on the other hand, disliked the fact that such stuck up person as him possessed more power. Both were childish reasons in Natsu's perspective and were something he didn't want to waste his time on.

The ice mage spent a lot of his time at the guild in the infirmary, often joined by several other unlucky members who either happened to accidentally piss off the dragon slayer or just got caught in the crossfire.

When it came to Y/n she grew a close relationship with the Erza and the Strauss siblings. Although at the start, her relationship with the Fairy Queen was slightly strained because she didn't like how she treated Natsu. However, as time passed, they came to an understanding after they had a long and deep conversation after one of Erza's fights with the now dubbed Akuma of Fairy Tail.

The Strauss siblings saw her as a younger sister since she was a little younger than Lisanna, and Erza saw her like the sister she never had. As time went by Y/n even got a room in the Strauss siblings house and lived there until she got her own. Much to Mirajane and Lissana's dismay as they wanted her to live with them.

Natsu, on the other hand, spent less and less time in the guild. After taking on several S-class missions after he passed the exam. He used the money to buy a land area quite far away from the noisy guild and humans in general. This was, of course, something he was quite contented with.

-Six years later-

A cool spring breeze swept through Magnolia park where five Fairy Tail mages stood. The salmon-haired boy and the h/c girl stood in front of the Strauss siblings just as they were about to leave for their S-class mission.

"Are you sure you don't need any help? I mean it's an S-class job after all." A 15-year-old Y/n asked her nonbiological siblings who stood in front of her. Worry was clearly evident in her voice. She knew how dangerous they could be, even though she had gone on several S-class missions alone.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I'm an S-class mage as well, you know. So you don't have to worry little siss. We'll make it back." The gothic teen said smirking a, ruffling the younger teens hair. Who silently hoped that would be the case.

"Please, don't get hurt. I don't want to have to comfort Y/n should something go wrong." The 16-year-old boy with salmon-hair said in his usual callous tone.

"Aww, how sweet of you. You actually care about us." Mira tauntingly said to the black-clothed teen, who resisted the urge to roll his eyes, as Y/n had told him to be nice for one day.

"Yeah, yeah.  If you truly believe that, then you're gonna get quite disappointed. I only care for Y/n and Wendy." The salmon-haired teen said in a monotone voice, back at the gothic teen.

"Mira! We have to leave or else we're gonna miss the train!" Elfman called just as the train whistle went off. "And don't worry Y/n! I'll protect them!" He shouted behind him as the sibling trio sprinted towards the vehicle.

"Make sure your boyfriend behaves will you? I don't think red's gonna be able to handle another beatdown." Mira shouted as Y/n, rolled her eyes at her big sister's taunting and shouted back.
