Warning: If you have fear of deep or murky waters, or don't like reading about drowning, then stop reading the first "-With Natsu-" appears. You can start reading when "Dragon slayer's forbidden art: Mind breaker" appears. It should be safe then.

---------------------------

"Ah... Y/n, that's right. Your little dragon friend will soon die at the hands of the man who killed his little sister. Maybe another number will be added to that count."

Jose's smug grin was short-lived when Natsu vanished from his spot and reappeared right in front of him, arm raised and coated in black and blue magic.

"Chaos Dragon's Iron fist."

------------------------

Jose's eyes widened in morbid fascination as the dragonslayer seemingly vanished from his spot, only to repeat right in front of him. The fist of the boy was coated in a swirl of black and blue magic. Before Jose even blink, it connected with his face.

He let out a pained grunt, as he was sent flying backward into the brick wall. From the sidelines, Lucy could only gasp in shock, looking at Natsu. The teen was standing there impossibly while eying the dust could surrounding the impact zone.

Natsu's eyes narrowed slightly. Although obscured by the dust he could see a silhouette rising up from the ground. His ears barely picked up on what Jose was saying, but by then it was already too late. The incantation had already been said.

"Shade."

Just as the words were spoken, dark ghosts flooded the area. Lucy let out a shriek as one appeared right in front of her, red glowing eyes starring right into her own. Her body slumped forward as it passed through her, falling to her knees she gripped her chest.

Natsu, however, didn't spare her a single gaze. His onyx eyes were trained by Phantom's guild master. He couldn't let Jose slip into the shadows, nor could he let any of the shadow ghosts touch him. It was truly a taxing task.

"So tell me-" Jose said, brushing off the brick dust from his clothes. "How did you come to the idea of calling yourself the son of Acnologia?"

"It's a bold proclamation, despite everyone knowing it's a valiant lie." Natsu's eyes narrowed, around him ethernano began to accumulate.

"Must be nice, being so high on yourself," Jose said, vanishing from his spot in the cover of his shade phantoms. "However, I'm far more superior than just a fake... Such as yourself." He said, voice darkening.

"Time to meet your end boy."

Natsu could feel the shift in the air, how the ethernano accumulated somewhere beyond his vision. However, between having to dodge Jose's phantoms and trying to pinpoint where the said master was, he didn't have much time to dodge when the attack came.

"Death wave!" Jose shouted. For a split second, the sea of shadowy ghost's split, leaving a single massive purple glowing beam straight towards him.

From the sidelines, Lucy could only watch in horror as the beam made contact with Natsu. A white flash covered the area, followed by a shock wave. The sandpaper-like surface of the stone floor underneath her scraped against her skin as the was forced back.

From the other side of the impact zone stood Jose, a maddening smile splitting across his face as he watched the dust slowly lift. There was no way the boy would survive that blast on such a small range. He would've been blown to smithers.

Too occupied in his victory, Jose didn't notice the figure slowly rising from the ground.

A small grunt was the only thing alerting him of the still alive boy. A wave of wind swept from the area, clearing out all the dust. Glaring back at him was Natsu covered head to toe in magical power. Jose could only look in morbid interest at spiderweb-like cracks rapidly formed underneath the teen.
