Part 18 (Ready... Set... FIGHT!)

AN: From here on out the chapters will be a little longer. I hope that's okay ^^

Also, I'll be going on a vacation trip for 3 weeks, so I won't have any stable internet. So I'm sorry for the lack of updates that will happen.

**With Natsu in Phantom's Guild Hall**

The small group of Fairy Tail wizards quietly made their way through the long hallways. It was more of a habit rather than a necessity, after all, they hadn't deluded themselves into thinking that Jose hadn't seen them.

No, they were in fact sure, he knew they were here.

The dragon prince stopped midstep, so abrupt Gray almost collided right into his back. Luckily the ice mage managed to stop himself before he did, much to his relief and annoyance.

"Why did you stop?" The ice mage hissed, which he had every right to be annoyed considering the thought of bumping into Natsu scared the living daylights out of him.

Forget the elemental four, Natsu could level them any day when it came to making people feel intimidated.

Natsu spared a look over his shoulder before pointing right ahead of them. Five gigantic doors sated right back at them. "We have to separate. Going through each door together would be a waste of time."

"He's got a point," Erza mused before turning towards Natsu. "Who goes where?" She asked.

At the question, Natsu blinked honestly a little astonished. It was rare for Erza to ask questions, let alone to him of all people. Still, Natsu didn't delay the answer.

"Wendy and cats- first to the left, Gray - second, Erza - fourth to the right, Elfman - fifth," Natsu emotionlessly listed up, not even sparing them a look.

"I'll cover the middle-" The team wondered why he suddenly halted his sentence until a shrill scream rang out through the whole building. The two dragon slayers winched at the high pitched scream that assaulted their precious ears.

"Was that- That was Lucy!" Gray said eyes widening.

Erza looked at Natsu with a small glare. "I thought you took her somewhere safe?!"

Natsu lifted an eyebrow at her before he nodded. "It appears that I've underestimated the Iron dragon slayer's tracking ability. A mild inconvenience, but hardly a problem."

His response had the team save from Wendy and the cats gaping at him in complete disbelief.

"A mild inconvenience?! Not a problem?" Gray said taking an angry step forward towards Natsu. "Are you serious? Do you even hear yourself?!"

Instead of responding to the seething ice mage, Natsu turned towards Wendy. "There's a burnt smell coming from your door. You will most likely face a fire mage."

"Hey! Don't ignore me!" Gray shouted while both dragonslayers ignored his mini tantrum.

"Okay, I'll be careful," Wendy said, before flying off. Natsu's eyes followed her until she disappeared through it, only then did he direct his attention towards the others.

"No change in plans. I'll save her if I find her." Natsu said, before leaving them behind.

The remaining group stayed there for a few seconds replaying his sentence.

'If I find her... He said if I find her...'

**With Wendy**

The sky dragonslayer stared at her strange-looking opponent. She was cautious in her steps, but her curiosity was clearly visible on her face. Happy floated on her right, eyes narrowed while Carla hovered right above Wendy's head, ready to grasp the girl should they need a quick escape.
