The beginning of this part is two weeks after Jungkook left Kyungji all by herself in the mansion and went to war.

It was a gloomy Saturday morning when gunshots made Kyungji jump out of the bed she used to share with Jungkook.

They weren't close to the mansion, but they got closer every day.

Yesterday she saw a group of people rushed down the road as soldiers followed after them. They were as small as ants from the window of her bedroom, small, defenseless ants waiting to be crushed any minute.

But today they were much closer, probably people from the nearby village. She could see the pained expression they were wearing she could hear the cries of the children that were pulled away from their mothers and it made her sick.

      She was afraid without Jungkook.

Kyungji never really knew when she stopped fearing him, but as time passed the burning slaps he would place upon her cheeks turned into kisses, tight grips on her thin neck turned into hugs, and she was missing all of it now. She didn't even know if she will ever feel them again.

She was in the room, alone, wearing Jungkook's shirt, his old worn out pants that she had to tightly tie onto her waist with a rope so they wouldn't slide off of her thin frame. Wrapping her arms around her for warmth she picked up the piece of paper that was left on the table the morning she woke up in the cold sheets without Jungkook hugging her.

The message in it was clear, simple two sentences that kept her from ending her life whenever her fear of loneliness would take over.

'I need you to survive. I love you.'

      She lived by those words.

      Survive.

She needed to survive, with food on the table and a bed to sleep in, as long as she could.

A week ago she stopped lighting u the fire in the fireplace to keep warmth. The smoke would just give away her position. She went through the mansion destroying everything she could get her hands on, flipping over furniture, breaking plates and glasses, ripping the curtains off and burning the books right in the middle of the lobby.

The home has to be destroyed, the front door wide open so no one would think that someone is living there.

Luckily, spring was around the corner and it wasn't so cold anymore. Everything she needed was in the four white walls she has spend the last weeks in and she was safe.

Her little heaven didn't hold up for long tho, because two days later the gunshots were right in front of the mansion.

She grabbed the suitcase underneath her bed and the gun that was underneath her pillow, ready whenever she decided it's time to run. She grabbed the piece of paper from the table folded it and put it inside the pocket of Jungkook's shirt and grabbed the tied sheets besides her window.

Quickly taking a few glances around she made a run for it, going deep into the dark woods and disappearing into the night.

   Jungkook

Four weeks have passed since they went to battle. Four weeks of pain, misery and indescribable amounts of blood that dripped from wounds of the soldiers that he once trained.

Four weeks, and his shouted commands turned into helpless pleads for the men to fight for their lives, because at this rate, they will all die. Yoongi's unit was the first one to get to the battlefield, and when Jungkook got there it was as if no one was ever there, all bodies covered in a thin layer of snow that was slowly starting to melt.

And out of all the bodies Jungkook stumbled on his, pale skin even whiter then before, calm, scarily peaceful and blended with the snow with eyes still open and emotionless.

That was the moment when he knew that war wasn't what he saw so far, war wasn't a camp where you would roll in puddles and mud, practice shooting on targets that didn't even move.

      That wasn't war.

      This is.

This is what war was and the bitter reality hit him like a truck. He just wanted to escape, to survive this and go back to Kyungji.

   Kyungji

The gunshots have stopped haunting her after the first few days of her running, but now she was met with a river, with no bridge to pass over it so she did the first thing that crossed her mind.

She took of her shoes, tied the thin laces together before wrapping them around the back of her neck. She balanced her suitcase on her head and slowly started to cross the river.

The water was shallow at first, but after taking one bad step she twisted her ankle under the water and sunk down deeper until the water reached her chest. The flow of it was hard to fight now, she struggled to stand up straight and keep walking through it.

The cold was slowly starting to numb her body and the idea of her shoes staying dry went down the drain when the water reached up to her neck.

Should she turn back or keep going?

She wasn't even sure if she was half way through the water.

She stopped her steps and looked up at the dry land ahead of her. She took a deep breath and threw the suitcase off of her head, opened it up and let all of her belongings and memories flow down the river.

She closed the suitcase again and threw both arms over it as she tried to swim while using the hollow wood as support so she wouldn't sink.

For a little bit, her feet couldn't touch the bottom but then she could feel small pebbles and rocks poke at her soles. She let the suitcase go down the river and stood on her feet as she crawled out of the water.

The moment she stood up, she was back on all fours and throwing up.

The sickening feeling hadn't hit her for the two last weeks, but after all she has been through these days, no wonder she couldn't take it. She even forgot all about it these past days, tho now as it all came back to her, fear rushed through her body.

She turned around on the grass and laid on her back.

The soaked shirt clung onto her body and and under the sheer white material you could see the small bump of her belly.

She wasn't saving just her life, she was saving a small surprise Jungkook left behind.

Okay so this sucks...but i want a cliff hanger, I'll update soon I promise. But I still think this is kinda cute, dunno why lol. Special thank you to daman_chaeg cuz if it wasn't for your comment I would have totally forgotten that I really wanted to write a second or more parts to this.
