"I need to get out of here" Veronica said to herself before getting up and out of bed.
The events from the day before had really shaken her up and she needed to talk to someone about it. The first person she wanted to talk to was Betty of course, but that would be awkward since they're still fighting and Betty is the main reason she's so miserable in the first place.
No one had ever affected her the way Betty did; and sometimes, that was a good thing. But when someone is that close to you, they can also change your mood for the worse. Right now all Veronica wanted to do was to run up to her best friend and give her the biggest hug she'd ever given someone so they'd just stop fighting and go back to the way things were. Unfortunately, she wasn't the one in the wrong this time, so she'd just have to wait. She wasn't the type of person who let others take advantage of her kindness; not that Betty did, but she did step out of line and needed to apologise.
It was 10:30am in the small town, and Veronica was getting dressed. She didn't know quite what for, but it was Saturday and she'd find something to do eventually. The only thing she needed right now was to let it all out and rant, but she didn't know who would really listen. I mean sure, Archie was a good listener, but he wasn't what she needed right now.
Then, as she was brushing her teeth, she got an idea.
"Kevin"
Her and Kevin hadn't spent any time together in what felt like forever, and she missed him. Her, Betty and Kevin had always been the three musketeers, the dynamic trio. That had sort of faded this year since she got closer to Betty, but she wanted to make things right. Besides, he made the best chocolate chip muffins in the entire town, and she really wanted to stuff her face right now.
"I haven't had a sleepover with anyone other than Betty in forever" She thought to herself "... And tomorrow is Sunday... So it's not like i'll have to worry about school or anything... Alright i'll text him"
