A/N: Back to Betty's point of view <3

The next morning, Betty woke up like she did most days. Her alarm went off, she opened her eyes, she slapped it, it fell on the floor, then she grunted and got out of bed. 6:30am was a really terrible time to wake up, and she hated it more with each passing day of the year. But oh well, at least it was Friday. She felt uneasy that morning, but she ignored it and blamed in on the rain that was pouring outside her window.

"Uuuuuughhhhh" She thought to herself as she observed the downfall. "Rain? Really? I have to go out in that uuughsiqudgq"

Nonetheless she went to her wardrobe and picked out some clothes while mentally cursing at herself for not preparing them the night before. The thing is that she would've if she hadn't been so distracted about what had happened two days before...

She wasn't going to lie to herself, her and her best friend almost kissed. I mean, she wasn't really sure why; maybe it was just the heat of the moment when Veronica stood up to Cheryl and got them both back on the team, or maybe it wasn't. In truth she had absolutely no idea what it was. Hey, maybe they weren't even going to kiss... Well whatever happened, they had discussed it the morning before a little and they came to the conclusion that it was nothing and they should just forget about it. Betty agreed to the plan wholeheartedly, but she just couldn't get it out of her head. At least nothing was awkward between them. Nothing ever was really, but right now everything was pretty normal between them.

What wasn't normal though was the fact that Jughead ditched everyone at lunch the day before. She was sure that he'd been at school because Archie saw him in the morning, but he didn't join them at lunch or at the end of the day. She was sure he had a good excuse as to why he did it, but she was a little worried. Maybe something had happened at home and he was sad or something, but whatever it was she wanted to know. They hadn't spoken in over a day.

So, when she was done getting dressed, she took out her phone.

...

Betty

Hey Jug!

You never joined us at lunch yesterday and I got a little worried..

Wanna meet at the front gate before class?

Jughead

Uh sure

Don't worry i'm fine

But i'll meet you there anyway

...

"Alrighty then" She thought to herself as she put her phone away and made her way downstairs for breakfast.

When she was about half way down the stairs, she heard the front door open and close. She paused and waited for something else to happen, her confusion growing by the minute. No one ever comes in or goes out of the house at this hour; no shop is open and no job has started  except for the schools. When she heard her mother say "welcome back!" and other things that she didn't quite hear, she continued going down the stairs to see who it was.

When she saw the front door, her heart stopped.

"POLLY?!"

Polly turned around, a huge smile plastered on her face.

"BETTYYYYY" She ran up and hugged her sister tightly, still being careful of the baby growing in her belly.

Betty gasped, remembering that her sister is pregnant.

"Oh my god i'm so sorry! Are you ok did I harm you?! Did I hug you too tightly i'm sorry!! I didn't mean to-"

Polly laughed as her sister rambled.
