It's been almost a month since you've been living with Toriel and your sanity is already slipping. Two weeks ago, Toriel decided to start training you so you can survive beyond the ruins and today she was going to test out everything she taught you. She helped give you a convincing back story to where you came from and who you are. You both decided that it would be best to keep your identity as a woman a secret so you won't get attacked as frequently as most women did there. She taught you some very subtle body language poses that make you seem more dominant and intimidating. You did however, had to toss your 'gentleman act' which Toriel was going to miss the most. You couldn't act all polite and be too respectful, you had to learn how to 'lightly' insult someone and other people around you.
The hardest part of all this was to know some very important names of certain monsters specifically monsters that are of the royal guard and you had to know some names of places too. Toriel made a rough sketch of the underground as a map and wrote down the names of some places. She couldn't remember what everything looked like since it's been decades since she left the Ruins and Flowey said he is too much of a coward to leave the Ruins so you're mentally preparing to get lost a lot.

I was nervous. I was about to take a test that is grading me on my survival skills of trying not to die by super big and strong monsters that could snap me in two (or so i'm told by Flowey). Toriel enters the living room, I stood up and pose in my manliest standing position I can make. She circles around, examining every inch of me as I never broke from eye contact. She said lots of monsters tend to do this instinctively. She stops in front of me and asks me the first question.
"Who are you and where do you come from?" She says demanding.
"My name is Arie, I was banished from my village hidden deep in the forest of Snowdin. I wear this mask because of my scars my people gave me before I was exiled...So don't think I'm gonna go soft and show ya them. Got it?" I say in the most stone cold way as possible.
I acted out a bit on the last part to give myself more character. I also figured out that acting closed off and keeping to yourself is one of the most easiest ways to sound and look tough too. Toriel nodded silently approving of my response. I was almost done, just two more questions.
" You notice a big tough looking monster is staring you down and starts walking towards you and looks like they want to start a fight, what do you do?" She snaps.
Toriel wanted me to act this situation out because it's more effective that way than reciting what to do. I quickly get into character and pretend to eye down the monster. I make a slight dark chuckle.
"Wow, you've got to be in such a pathetic state to think an asshole like you can size me up." I laughed and pulled out my scythe and do my signature move that took a lot of hours to master.
I continue taunting.
"Well you know what they say, In this world it's kill or be killed." I snap back with a slight crazed laugh near the end.
Toriel nods in acceptance and I put my scythe away. The final question.
"If all else fails and you are captured, what do you do?" She sighs.
Toriel wanted me to say the answer more than act out this one. I close my eyes and chose my words carefully.
"You know, there once was this saying I use to tell myself...'You are what you beat.' And in this case you just beat a small, weak and disgusting waste of space...let that sink in."
Toriel never actually heard you rehearse this one out loud before so your answer was very surprising judging by what you saw on her face. There was a few seconds of silence as you stood there nervously. A devious smile spreads on her lips as you slowly start to see more of her sharp yellow teeth.
"Congratulations Arie, you are now officially a monster of the Underground." She says in a very devious way.
You did it. you passed. You finally can go out into the new world and survive. Toriel taught you that the word survive means to live down here and living is for the weak. You never thought a person could adapt and change so quickly in such short a short period of time.
"You are the most prepared human that i've ever had. You might actually survive unlike most of the children that have fallen down here, but you're much more older and mature than the others and you are not a child, you are a monster."
You had to slowly grow out of Toriel's hugs and affection in order to survive beyond the Ruins so it was only a pat on the back for you. She hands you a medium sized suit case with everything you will need in order to survive. She opens the big heavy purple gates for the first time. A cold gust of wind hits you hard but you don't even flinch as you stare straight into the blizzard. You look at Toriel one last time and nod your head. You walk through the doors not looking back as you hear them close from behind. You were now a monster, and nothing can stop you now.
