(Underfell sans x reader (female)) UNDERCOVER

Two-faced

         It's almost been two weeks since the celebration with Sans and Papyrus when you drank two bottles of wine. You don't remember anything that night and you wished you did because Sans had been avoiding you since then. You couldn't figure out what you could've said to him that night that would make him want to avoid you. The part that frustrated you the most was that you haven't gotten the chance to ask him. Every time you ask Papyrus when he last saw Sans and always tells you that he went to Grillby's. But once you get to Grillby's, he's already gone and back at home sleeping.

         You would ask Papyrus more details about that night but he passed out before the incident happened. This was driving you crazy, you couldn't talk about this with Gaster otherwise he'll start to lecture you about your feelings again. You can't talk to any other monster about this because you feel that would lead to gossip and that's the last thing you need. You decided to go to the one place that could help you escape from your frustration temporarily. Waterfall.

         You've gotten into a dangerous habit of saying your confessions to the echo flowers without your mask on just so no one would know who was talking. You wouldn't do this in the bigger field of echo flowers in fear that a monster might see you, so you go to the more barren places where there's only two or three echo flowers.

         You were messing with the pink floating flowers that can make paths for you to walk on if you aligned all four flowers. You knew what the little sign said in the middle of the pond after  you made a path to see what it said and it read that you failed the puzzle which you've solved hundreds of time. You closed your eyes and threw one the pink flowers in a random direction and opened your eyes to see where it landed but it was nowhere in sight. You turn your head to check if you accidentally let go of it too early and landed behind you.

         You noticed that there was a blind spot in the larger pond right next to the one with the sign in the middle. You lean as much as you can without falling in and saw a corner of a bridge and that the pink flower had landed by the edge of it. You aligned the last three making you a path to the hidden bridge you found. The bridge lead you to a small opening that had a bench and a single echo flower next to it. You hear the flower repeating something.

"I can't get him out of my head." The flower echoed.

         It was Sans, you didn't realize how much you missed his voice. You knew he was talking about you. Suddenly you had a brilliant idea, you look around to see if anyone is watching and you take off your mask. You listen to the message one last time and spoke over it.

"Can't get who out of your head?"

         Your voice sounded very gentle and caring, he would never know that it was you talking to him. You sat down on the bench for a while and hoped that Sans would come back tomorrow so you could hear what he had to say about your question.

         It was the next day and all you could think of was Sans' response would be. You brought your journal with you so you could record each day's response. You immediately go to Waterfall after your training with Papyrus with your journal in hand practically running to the secret room that you named 'the confession room'. You quickly write down yesterdays results before you listened to the echo flower. You finished writing and you put your ear to the flower not making a sound.

"there's this friend of mine that's living with me and i can't get over the feeling that i like him... a lot." The flower echoed Sans message.

         You quickly write Sans' response down on the section you labeled day two and thought hard of what you should say. You take off your mask and say your message to Sans.
