        It's been a few weeks since Grillby gave me a job with a shitty paycheck but it's all I've got right now and money is money. He taught me how to make a few different types of martinis but not many buy them since their very expensive. I still wasn't allowed to cook any of the food which is fine by me. Although it's nice to have trust with one monster, it would be nice to gain a bit more. I look out into the crowd of monsters while cleaning mugs and shot glasses, monsters were laughing and joking as if they were humans themselves.

                                                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         You never really could understand why monsters hated humans so much, that was one thing that Toriel never told you and even when you asked her why, she always avoided the question. You sometimes wonder what Toriel is doing in the Ruins and if she thinks you're dead or not. You snap out of thought and focus more on cleaning again.
" I'm going out to get more supplies for the pantry so i'm leaving you in charge of serving customers, got that?"
What. Grillby has never let you be in charge of the bar ever let alone not trusting you cook the burger and fries. You were a little nervous with such authority.
"What if someone asks for food?" I ask him.
"Everyone knows that if i'm not around, then ordering food isn't even an option." He chuckles.
         Your heart was beating fast from excitement and from panic. What if something bad happened? What if a fight broke out? Your mind was racing with possible situations of what could go wrong, you didn't notice Grillby leaving. It was just you in charge now.
                                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

         It's been a few hours since Grillby left but so far nothing has got out of hand. You didn't realize how loud the last big group was until they left. It's unusual to see the place a bit empty at night because that's when it's the most busy. Most of monsters that were left seemed to be satisfied and haven't asked for anymore drinks. You were mostly standing around for most of the time trying to find a way to entertain yourself since you finished cleaning all the dishes. You went around and swept for a while until there was nothing left to sweep. There were only about ten monsters just lingering not really ordering anything and just talking. You haven't felt this bored in such a long time, but all that changed once you saw who walked in.

         Sans closes the door and takes a glance around the place, you think he was a bit surprised by how empty the bar was. You mostly see Sans come around here only when it's crowded but when it's sort of empty like this and Grillby is at the front serving drinks, Grillby and him start talking. He found the farthest seat away from you at the counter, tapping his bony fingers against the wood impatiently.

         You walk over to him with your hands to your side balled into fists. This was the last monster you wanted to see right now.

"What do you want?" I mumble.

He raises one of his bone brows and scoffs.

"that's no way to treat Grillb's best customer." He chuckles.

"Says the one that's never even tried to pay their 10,000G tab." I say folding my arms.

         His red glowing pupils disappear for a few seconds and reappears as if it never happened a long with forcing his smile to stay put. He coughs a bit and visible beads of sweat start rolling down the side of his head.

"come on kid, Grillbs wouldn't even let me set foot in this place if i had a tab like that."

"You know how Grillby is with money." I remind him.

"not as bad as some" He utters under his breath.

"What was that?" I ask irritated.

"stop askin questions and get me a bottle of spicy mustard." He says avoiding the question.

         You turn around and head for the cabinet where Grillby keeps the condiments. You were about to grab the handle but you stop yourself and turn to face Sans with a hidden grin plastered on your face. Sans lets out a growling sigh and hunches his body over the counter.

"give me a bottle of mus―"

"No."

"i swear i'm gonna snap your neck if you don't." He threatens

"I'm not serving a monster who can't repay their tab."

"Wha―"

         You interrupted Sans again by pulling out a list almost as tall as you that has documented all of the drinks and food Sans has ever ordered including the time and date of when he ordered them. Sans froze where he was with his mouth slightly opened. You show him the list feeling victorious, but it didn't last long until Sans bursts out laughing. You were confused and annoyed to why Sans was laughing at, you were showing him his debt unless he just snapped and your watching a monster's life crumble before your eyes. He stops laughing a wipes away his red tears and gestures me with his finger to come closer to him. You hesitate but follow still holding the paper in your hands. You look at Sans' finger pointing to something on the paper.

"you see that blue little symbol?" He says pointing to a small blue flame.

"Yeah, what about it?" I say still confused of what he was saying.

"Grillby uses that symbol to signify that his customers have already paid a part of their tab so you might want to look at that list one last time. " He says clearly loving your reaction.

"What!?!" I say shocked.

         You step back and scan through the list like a hawk. He was right. Every single entry had a little blue flame by their dates. You quickly double check to see if there was any that didn't have the blue stamp, but sure enough there wasn't. Sans was debt free.

"Then why did Grillby tell me that you owed him 10,000G!?!" I say in frustration.

         He clears his throat and looks at you with a smug smile. You avoid eye contact with him, gripping the list and causing the paper to crinkle.

"what, can't handle defeat? i think it's about time that you go and grab me that bottle of mustard now, Arie."

         You hated how he said your name at that last part, you felt like you got frisked by a policeman and just got caught red-handed. You put the list back and scrape your feet against the floor. You open the cabinet and noticed that the mustard was barely out of your reach. You hear Sans trying to contain his laughter as he watches you attempting to reach for the bottle. You managed to grab the bottle on one foot since you didn't want to jump to get it. You walk over to Sans and gave him the bottle while staring at the ground. You flinched with grimace at the sound of  Sans sucking out the spicy mustard straight from the bottle. He sucks it dry after a few more rounds and sets the empty bottle down.

         You grab the bottle and toss it into the trash behind you as he licks away stray spots of mustard around his mouth, all the while making unnecessary smacking noises with his mouth knowing that it's driving you crazy. He stops and sighs from satisfaction and stares at you with your back against the counter folding your arms with your hands gripping your robe. Sans notices this and chuckles.
