It took Papyrus at least two minutes to regain his thoughts back after the tragedy of his once clean kitchen that is now covered in what looked like tomato sauce. You were snapping your fingers in Papyrus' face as he suddenly became aware or his surroundings.
"Hello? You still in there Papyrus?" I say pointing to my head.
He looks around a bit and then looks at you. Trying to be helpful, you grab his hand and took him out of the kitchen and sat him down on the couch. You could see his tense body slowly relax as he sat down. You go back into the kitchen and got a clean rag to wipe off the splattered sauce that was on half of his face. You still weren't quite sure what was going on with him and turned to Sans for an explanation.
"he'll be fine, this happens regularly after he's cooked with undyne―she is the one that taught him how to cook after all." Says Sans.
Part of you found that hard to believe because you've seen how Papyrus cooks and he definitely doesn't cook as reckless as Undyne.
"How could he have been taught by Undyne? From what I heard in that closet it sounded almost like a battlefield, not to mention that it looked like nothing was cooked at all when I came out." I say.
"It's more of myself teaching her how to cook now more than her teaching me these days." Papyrus says as he grabs the rag from your hand.
Papyrus wasn't talking normal like his loud, scratchy self and instead was quieter and his scratchy voice wasn't as intense. It was surprisingly very nice to listen to. He wipes as much of the sauce as he could off of him and looks back into the kitchen and lets out a distressed sigh as he lays back and looks up at the ceiling.
"don't want to clean the kitchen i presume?" Sans chuckles.
Papyrus nods his head while still looking up at the ceiling.
"Why don't you go take a shower while Sans and I clean up the kitchen for you." I suggest.
"Thank you (Y/N), I appreciate your kindness." Says Papyrus.
He gets up from the couch and walks upstairs to the bathroom. You hear Sans groaning behind you once Papyrus had closed the door.
"why'd you have to go and say we were going to clean the kitchen!?" Sans complains.
"Because i'm a nice person, besides you need to pull more of your weight in the house. Papyrus and I pull our weight by being part of the royal guard, you should at least clean the house while we're gone on patrol." I say nagging Sans.
"let's just get this over with." He mumbles in return and walks towards the kitchen.
The two of you walk back in and didn't notice how messy the kitchen really was until you saw it a second time, you realized how generous you were being to Papyrus. You roll up your sleeves and walked over to the closet that you were previously hiding in from Undyne. You found two old mops and a bucket that had a moldy rag at the bottom of it.
"Fill this bucket up while I find cleaner rags and some soap." I say to Sans and handed him the two mops and the bucket.
You let out a sigh as you look around the rest of the kitchen.
"This is going to take longer than I thought."

An hour and 45 minutes had passed since you and Sans started cleaning, you were having a hard time trying to take the orange stains out of the tile floor that the sauce left behind. Sans was carefully trying to scrape the sauce off the walls and ceiling without taking any paint off but that wasn't going as well as you hoped. Sans was growling and mumbling curses under his breath every time he accidentally chipped some paint off.
