You were a bit startled and disturbed that Sans was behind you looking down at your tired state. He looked confused to why you were breathing heavily while still standing in your way.
"what's up with you, and why are you panting?"
You take in a few deep breathes before answering Sans' questions.
"Your asshole of a brother stole my book that I was reading!" I stomp angrily.
He takes a step back with his hands in the air obviously surprised by your outburst. At least you managed to startle Sans instead of intimidating him.
"woah calm down, it's just a book Arie." He says.
"A book that happened to be very interesting out of all the other trash books that are in that stupid library!" I say still annoyed.
A small laugh slips from his mouth as he mumbles under his breath.
"well the books literally did come from the trash." He utters.
"What did you say!?!" I shout clearly not wanting any shit from Sans right now.
"it was nothing." Sans says casually.
"You know, i'm sick and tired of you mumbling things that I can't hear!"
Sans heaves a big sigh and is ignoring your constant ranting but you're too angry to notice.
"...And i'm sick of working for Grillby and having to take his forced vacations just so I can come back the next day because I don't have enough money to even survive for a week..."
"hmm that's too bad." He says clearly not paying attention.
"...The worst part about all of this is that I can't sleep in the back of his bar during my break from work because he only let's me stay there if I was working that day..."
"...wait you live in the back of Grillby's bar?" Sans says laughing a bit.
"Sleeping! Sleeping in the back of Grillby's bar! There's a difference!" I say fuming with rage.
"then where do you live?" He asks.
"I don't 'live' I survive." I say correcting him.
"ok, then where do you 'survive'?"
You pipe up to Sans' question as he raises one of his bone brows waiting for a response. No one knew that you didn't really have a place of your own besides Grillby, but he isn't really the kind that spreads personal information to others which you appreciate.
"i'm waiting." Sans says bluntly.
You look up at Sans then back to the ground and sigh.
"I don't have a place of my own so yes...I do live at Grillby's."
You could feel his eyes on you as you go silent still looking at the ground. Sans hadn't said any thing yet but you were just waiting for him to laugh...but he never did.
" you can live with me and Papyrus... sorry, i mean 'survive'." He jokes.
You let out a small laugh making Sans smile a smile a bit. You can't remember the last time you really laughed. You almost forgot that you were still a human and not just some tough 'wanna-be' monster. You were actually a nice person even if the monsters grumpiness sometimes got to you.
"I can!?!" You say almost slipping out of character.
"yeah, i'm sure Papyrus won't mind...i think."
"Are you positive that he will let me stay with you guys?" You say folding your arms.
"yes, i'm positive."
"Great, lets go but I first need to grab my suitcase that I left in the library."
"i'm not going anywhere so hurry."
You run back into the library and thankfully your suitcase was right where you left it. You come out and run over to Sans with a slight skip to your step. Sans see's this and chuckles.

Sans opens the door as you follow from behind. He closes the door and locks it and struggles to pull the key out without taking the door knob with it.
The house had a faint scent of lasagna and dirty socks but the smell was tolerable to your taste. The living room had a worn down green couch against the wall near the left of the door and sitting across from the couch was a nice flat screen t.v. On your right was a table that had a dusty rock covered in what looked like sprinkles along with a small colony of ants scavaging the stale blue sprinkles. Ahead of you was the kitchen that had a fridge which you were glad know that the Underground had decent technology. To the very far left was some stairs that lead to two bedrooms that were most likely Sans' and Papyrus'.
"well here we are. it's not much but you get what you get, so i never wanna hear you complain about this place's conditions, you got that?" Sans says strictly.
You nod to let him know that you're still listening. You set your suitcase by the foot of the couch and sit down not noticing the small cloud of dust that floats off of you. Sans was puzzled by this but pretends he didn't notice and takes of his jacket and sets it on the table. You were taken back by how Sans' jacket made him look super big, he didn't look as intimidating without it.
"...what ya lookin at?"
"You look a lot bigger when you're wearing your jacket."
Sans grumbled and looked away uttering something under his breath again looking annoyed by your comment.
"i'm going to talk to Papyrus about you staying hear with us so just stay where you're sitting and try not to get anymore dust on the couch."
Uh oh. You knew you put too much dust on today. Sans' goes upstairs and stops at the first door that's covered in electrical tape and warning signs. He knocks on the door and your hear a muffled scratchy voice from behind the door.
"GO AWAY SANS! IT'S STILL TOO EARLY TO MAKE DINNER!"
Sans scratches the back of his head slightly turning to look at you but looks back at the door as it opens up.
"THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'M GOING TO TELL YOU SANS, NOW F―" Papyrus stops mid sentence and looks right at you.
He grabs Sans by the collar of his sweater and drags him into his room while never breaking eye contact with you as he slowly closes the door. You get the feeling that your not welcomed and that Sans was in big trouble. You could hear muffled shouting and arguing between the two brothers and the door would occasionally open leaving a small crack as Papyrus examines for a few seconds and closes the door and starts yelling and shouting at Sans again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After about ten more minutes of shouting and arguing, everywhere was suddenly absolute silence for a few seconds. The door finally opens and the two skeletons walk out and come down the stairs without saying a word to each other. You quickly stand up as Papyrus faces you giving you the death glare. His pupils were red and way smaller which emphasized his quite unsettling appearance, the big crack that went down through the left side of his eye socket also made it harder for you to not stare at.
"SANS AND I HAVE COME TO AN AGREEMENT OF ALLOWING YOU TO STAY HERE WITH US BUT WITH A FEW CONDITIONS, WHICH WOULD BE HELPING CLEAN THE HOUSE, TAKE TURNS COOKING DINNER, AND NOT BE A LAZY ASS LIKE SANS!"
This was great, you finally get to live in a real house after two months of sleeping on a cold wooden floor. You just hope this doesn't increase your risk of being caught.
